Planning a wedding is stressful! When we met with Jeff it was a huge relief to know one part of the wedding planning was in great hands. He made us feel comfortable and wanted to know history and what family and friends were like to make sure his service fit into our group.

Not only did we need a DJ but we also needed an MC for the night and Jeff was able to do both. At the reception everything Jeff told us would happen did! The games were amazing and our group did nothing but laugh with them!

Our group walked away in amazement of how awesome of a job he did and will be talking about if for a long time!

We recommend him for anyone needing a DJ/MC and so will our friends and family!!!!

We did have a fantastic time and Archie is wanting to be your new side kick!

For an awesome DJ & person Jeff Haymaker

Alain & I, Jane, had about 40 days to plan our wedding which is full of decision making. We had to decide on a DJ, I was seriously considering Jeff Haymaker because a friend highly recommended him. I went to the bank to see if my budget could handle him. I told the bank clerk about Jeff and she said with great excitement, “we had him at our wedding & he was worth every penny”. So we decided to get him to help us make our wedding experience fun & memorable. We were lucky to get him because he actually had another possible booking the same day.

Jeff met with us before the wedding to get to know us & gave us a number of helpful ideas. He helped with the actual ceremony. We also had him as our Master of Ceremony & DJ. He kept things flowing, interesting & fun. He had several ice breaking games, a huge tickle truck with funny hats and props. The dance floor was full all evening with dancing people with goofy hats and smiles on their faces. All throughout the night people commented on the great job our DJ was doing.

We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves because we could trust him to run the show. We did not regret having him as a big part of our day.

I would like to add that as we look at the pictures and talk with friends about our wedding the comments have been, ”That was the funniest wedding I’ve ever been at, What a Blast.

We really enjoyed planning our wedding reception entertainment with Jeff Hay! It was great to get to meet him several times leading up to our event. He shared great song ideas, many of which we used for our formal dances. What’s more is he shared many tips and tricks about the evening’s proceedings that helped us organize other aspects of the night (games, speeches, etc.). We were able to use many of our own song ideas and he did a great job blending them together with “standard wedding dance music.”

Jeff was there all afternoon, which gave him a chance to meet several of the guests, which made for a great lead-in for the reception and dance afterwards. We also used his wedding MC services which took the pressure off our family and friends. He did the basic MC duties (introducing the wedding party, introducing the speakers, etc) but on top of that he incorporated a couple fun games that allowed the guests to get to know not only us, but eachother better.

DJ Haymaker was an incredible DJ/Entertainer at our wedding. He is extremely professional, fun, and definitely creates the party vibe for any event. He is extremely thorough and gets to know the bride and groom on a personal level. To guests it seems that he is a close family friend instead of a hired entertainer. The party vibe never died, the dance floor was always packed, the games were fun, and he had ourselves and our guests in hysterical bouts of laughter. He kept in touch and offers wedding planning advise throughout your entire engagement if need be. He takes your visions and turns them into a reality. He is worth every penny. Looking back I wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding, and our guests have raved about our DJ. Number one DJ in the Okanagan for sure!

DJ Haymaker was an absolute blast. He was extremely helpful and courteous in all aspects that he was involved in with our wedding. From giving us helpful tips and answering questions on what or how something could be done, hilariously introducing our wedding party (everyone loved it), having our guests play his awesome survivor game or playing a mix of music so all the guests were out on the dance floor. DJ Haymaker has a reputation of being the best in Kelowna and we found out why. He kept us at ease all night and couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks Jeff!

It’s been nearly two months since our wedding and people are still talking about it, everyone loved the full day of wine touring, gorgeous ceremony venue, but most of all, how DJ Haymaker had the perfect music for each moment and different location in the background, it was like being in a movie. We had a friend sing at both our ceremony and do a full set at our reception and DJ Haymaker made all of her AV possible. DJ Haymaker had the dance floor packed from the first song with the “McStack Mashup” and kept it rolling with all of the music we wanted to hear, country, house music and good ol’ Michael Jackson hour. It was awesome and we’re so glad he was the first vendor we hired, I don’t know how we would have pulled off a destination wedding without his guidance, suggestions and vendor hook ups. DJ and Wedding Planner in one!

It was great to see you on Friday evening at the Benewealth event……what an event eh!!!!! You really are a sought after person!!!! Have to tell you we were at my niece’s wedding on Saturday in Vernon…………there was a live band but no entertainment………..suffice to say there were many positive comments from people that had attended both events what a difference it makes to have a DJ Haymaker!!!!!! “Where to begin???? Jeff from the first time we met for coffee to discuss Robyn & Tyke’s wedding until the lights came on after the dance you have out done yourself!!!

Your positive energy completely relaxed all of us and instilled confidence that the day would be perfect and it was more than perfect.!! I can’t tell you how many times I heard throughout the evening and still that it was the best wedding people had attended and that is because of you. The games were hilarious and really got the crowd going.

When we had met for coffee you shared with me that your goal was to get two people that did not know each other at the start to be buddies by the end……Mission Accomplished. Hey Jeff!

We are STILL basking in our Wedding Bliss! Honestly, what an amazing day; it really couldn’t have gone any better. You really did give us peace of mind – we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Matt and I had an absolute blast and I know all of our guests did too!

Our impression of DJ Haymaker:

Where to begin…Our Wedding day was absolutely perfect. We really do owe a lot of thanks to Jeff as he kept our day rolling along smoothly. From the Ceremony to Cocktail Hour, to the late hours of the night; Jeff kept the party going. He definitely knows how to read a crowd. Most importantly, Matt and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Jeff gave us peace of mind and really kept us on track. From the bouquet/garter toss, to first dances, Jeff had it under control! Folks at our Wedding definitely like to Party and that’s exactly what Jeff gave us; there was never a dull moment! Our friends and family are STILL talking about our Wedding…”Best Wedding Ever.” So many great memories were made that will never be forgotten.

Jeff also organized some great Wedding Games that our guests absolutely loved, it really got the whole room engaged! The energy in the ballroom was absolutely amazing.

AND to top it off, Jeff really went above and beyond – he sent us a few videos after our big day. We weren’t able to have a videographer so it was fantastic that Jeff was able to capture some of those important moments for us!

Choosing the right DJ for a wedding is not an easy task, as having the right guy there can either make or break the party. DJ Haymaker is THE GUY who will not only make the party, but he will go over and above all the callings of a simple DJ. Some of our guests thought he was not only the DJ but our wedding planner. Time and time again we have had guests say to us, “what an amazing DJ”, “was he your wedding planner” and “what a fun and memorable party”.

He took care of every detail, any request, made arrangements or changed plans with the reception staff when the bride and groom could not. He even had safety pins for me when I needed to adjust the length of my wedding dress so I could comfortably dance. YES HE IS THAT GOOD!!! Prior to our ceremony he had recommendation of songs to play as we walked down the aisle, and assisted with getting everyone and everything set up perfectly. My husband and I were amazed by his charisma, talent and attention to every detail.

At the reception the ice breaker ‘games’ were a riot, as were the introductions of the bridal party. It is not only that he manages to entertain the crowd, but he has that confident radio voice that just captivates the audience and has everyone engaged. If you want a fun wedding party that has everyone on the dance floor all night long and will have your guests wishing for more, he is the ONLY DJ we would recommend.
