Jeff was an absolute professional from the very beginning. He kept in constant communication through text, email, and calls, making sure we felt comfortable, confident, and secure heading into our wedding day. He listened to our ideas while also providing much needed guidance and expert advice. On the day of the wedding, he went above and beyond as both our MC and coordinator, helping with setup, making sure everyone knew where they needed to be, keeping things organized, and took the time to talk to our family and friends.

As an MC and DJ, Jeff was phenomenal. He kept everyone entertained with games and jokes, seamlessly organized and introduced the speeches, and then kept the dance floor packed all night. He played our favourite songs, took requests, and effortlessly mixed music that had both the younger and older generations dancing. Throughout the night and even the next day, our guests kept asking who he was and commenting on how amazing he was. There truly aren’t enough positive things we can say. Jeff was the glue that held our wedding together while also making it the party we dreamed of. We would book him a million times over!

We hired Jeff for his DJ/MC services at our wedding ceremony and reception and we are SO glad we did. Throughout the months leading up to the wedding he was in communication with us and helped calm our worries for the big day. We used his wedding portal to fill out information and forms that helped create an extremely personalized service from Jeff. We had multiple guests ask us if we knew him personally because of how wonderful of a job he did. We loved the little ice breaking games we played during the reception. We loved how he introduced our wedding party to our guests, everyone was laughing and it really got the party started. Our ceremony was flawless as well and he was able to accommodate my requests for certain songs and extending the length to make it work etc. Jeff was able to create a perfect entertainment environment for our dream wedding. He’s actually a bit of a comedian with how funny he is. He even got my 92 year old grandmother breaking it down on the dance floor! We seriously could not have asked for anything more from him! He even took pictures and videos through the day, communicated with our venues so we didn’t have to worry about set up, and completely stole the heart of our guests! We cannot recommend DJ Haymaker highly enough. He was such an integral part of our wedding and we truly cannot imagine the day being a success with anyone else. We met with him multiple times leading up to our wedding, where he asked us all kinds of questions to determine the vibe and energy we were looking to have for our wedding. He also came to our rehearsal the night before and coordinated and organized how the ceremony would look on the day of. For the wedding day itself he had a hand in every part. He ensured the ceremony ran smoothly, as well as Mc’d the entire reception. His games were super fun and made the guests feel at ease to start the reception. His introductions were perfect and were a huge highlight of the wedding, everyone was laughing the entire time. He made the guests feel comfortable and the energy in the room noticeably shifted when he first took the mic. The music for the dance floor was perfect and people were dancing from the start till the lights came on. We have had so many people after the wedding tell us how impressed they were with him, and that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We would recommend him incredibly highly for anyone looking for a DJ. His professionalism and competence made us confident that the event would go smoothly and made our wedding a stress free day.

DJ Haymaker was an absolute GEM and truly one of the highlights of the final night of our summer convention!

Planning this event came with its own unique logistical challenges. We were unfamiliar with the area and, from across the country, needed to conduct scouting trips to secure the right venues, accommodations and entertainment for our group. During every site visit and every meeting with a hospitality professional, I asked the same question: “Who would you recommend for entertainment?” One name came up again and again — DJ Haymaker.

I was quickly told that booking Jeff would be nearly impossible within our nine-month booking window, particularly for a summer weekend. As luck would have it, our closing night fell on a Monday — and Jeff happened to be available. Even more incredibly, it was his mother’s birthday. Jeff went above and beyond, moving his own family celebration to the following day so that he could be there for our event. That level of commitment and willingness to make it work meant so much to us and set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional evening.

From the very beginning, Jeff was exceptionally prepared and incredibly intentional about understanding our event. He took the time to research our company and learn about key participants so that his talking points and interactions felt relevant, personal and authentic. That level of preparation made a huge difference and demonstrated just how much he cared about delivering the right experience for our group.

His ice-breaking games were fantastic and did exactly what we hoped they would — get people laughing, interacting and out of their comfort zones. Jeff has a natural ability to read a room, and he effortlessly played to the crowd, adapting the music and energy throughout the evening to keep the dance floor alive.

He brought an amazing, fun vibe to the event, dressed the part, encouraged participation and actively engaged with our guests rather than simply standing behind the booth. His energy was contagious, and he made people feel included and part of the experience.

What impressed us just as much was his professionalism behind the scenes. Jeff made a point of regularly checking in with me throughout the evening to ensure everything was on track and that the entertainment was aligning with the flow of the event. That kind of communication and awareness is invaluable when you’re managing a large convention and juggling countless moving parts.

Looking back, I completely understand why DJ Haymaker was the name I heard over and over again during our scouting process. Jeff didn’t simply provide music — he took the time to understand our group, invested in the success of our event and helped create an experience that our attendees will remember.

Jeff was the perfect combination of professional, prepared, personable and FUN. We are incredibly grateful that the stars aligned and that he was willing to rearrange a special family celebration to be part of our closing night.

Jeff Hay (DJ Haymaker) was an absolute cornerstone of our wedding day. My husband and I were initially nervous about making such a significant investment in DJ services, but Jeff exceeded every expectation we had. We are so incredibly grateful that we chose him.

From the very beginning, Jeff was always available to answer our questions, whether by text or phone call. He even attended our rehearsal, offering thoughtful suggestions for our ceremony, speeches, and overall timeline. He stayed afterward to have dinner with everyone and get to know our family and friends, which added such a personal touch to the entire experience.

One final piece of advice: do yourself a favour and include the Groomsmen Challenge at your wedding! My husband and I laughed so hard we were almost in tears. It was one of the funniest and most memorable moments of the entire day.
