Jeff, I have to tell you that each and every person I spoke to both that night as well as those I’m connecting with since have all told me the same thing – our wedding was by FAR the best wedding that they have EVER attended! Jacob’s grandfather on his dads side hasn’t spoken more than 15 words to me in the last 5 years and I almost fell off my chair when he came up and told me that our wedding kicked ass and that his experience at weddings in the future will forever pale in comparison to ours….

I think that was one of the best gifts I got that night and I have YOU to thank for it all!

We knew that you were gonna bring the roof down but we didn’t expect what you brought to our wedding day…. so from the bottom of my toes to the tip of my nose, I say THANK YOU for making our special day so much better!!!

We got married in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico in March 2011 and wanted to have a reception on our return to Kelowna. Since we were already married.. we were totally focused on just having a GREAT PARTY with our family and friends that weren’t with us in Mexico. I (Sarah) started my search online looking for the perfect DJ for our party. When I approached my soon-to-be husband with the name DJ Haymaker, I was shocked when he told ME that the same DJ was recommended to him by a friend. PERFECT.

When we first met with Jeff to discuss our vision, we were thrilled with his enthusiasm, positive energy, his great suggestions, and his flexibility. Jeff was our MC at our reception/party and had such great energy the entire night. He totally understood our vision for the evening and executed it perfectly. It was far beyond our expectations. It was so great that we didn’t have to worry about a single thing the entire night.

Jeff suggested some games for our party and at first, I admit, I was a little leery. I had never played games at a wedding before. The games sounded fun so we went for it! We played some great games including ‘Survivor’ which totally engaged the crowd and got everyone ready to party! Everyone LOVED Jeff’s box of hats. The games and the hats were great ice breakers and totally brought everyone together!

Jeff could totally read the crowd on the dance floor. He started the night off playing songs that were easy for everyone to dance to. At one point in the night Brent and I looked at the clock in absolute disbelief… it was 1:30 am and the dance floor was PACKED with people that were GIVING ‘ER! It was great! (And thanks for being so patient with my mom and her many requests!! Hahaha!)

We had such a great time and so did our guests. We will never forget that special night! (We still talk about it!) Thank you so very much!

Just wanted to put down in to writing all the amazing feedback we had from our wedding!

From Aaron’s first phone call to you and my first meeting with you we knew you had to be a part of our wedding and your promise to make it ‘the best wedding ever,’ did not disappoint. From start to finish you were there to answer any and all questions I had regarding the wedding, music and DJ related or not.

Every time I even started to think we hadn’t touched base and should there was an email in my inbox with another simple question. You were invaluable with planning the timeline and assisting of emcee for the evening.

I felt relaxed and comfortable the entire day of the wedding knowing that things were just going to happen and trusted you entirely to make them happen. The music and mics at the ceremony we perfect, while the games at the reception were wonderful and got everyone ready to party.

Oh, and the videos are priceless! Comments from friends have included; ‘Where did you find him? He was awesome’ and ‘My stomach hurts from laughing so much!’

I don’t think the dance floor ever cleared out from start to finish. You read the crowd really well but still managed to play songs that we wanted to hear, as obscure as some of them may have been.

For ourselves, our families and friends, you were worth every penny! We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. We I would recommend you to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding or event.

Jeff, you were amazing.. from the moment we met you, we wanted you to be a part of our big day.

You offered help and expertise with not only music, timelines, games, MC duties etc, but also helped us remember what they day was all about. Our meetings in the planning stages were so helpful, we always left feeling less stressed and more excited about the celebration to come!

Your involvement in our wedding ceremony at the church allowed us to enjoy every moment of it without worrying about organizing people, the music, and getting the ceremony started and running smoothly.

We had many family members and friends tell us that was the best reception they had ever been to. You helped us create a timeline specific to our wants and needs, we were able to spend lots of time visiting with friends and family and you kept everything on track from the wedding party entrance, awesome icebreaker games, facilitating dinner, speeches and getting everyone pumped for the dancing with a game we will never forget “Survivor”

When it came time for us to leave the party we still had many guests young and old who worked it on the dance floor until the final song at the end of the night. Looking back we have only positive memories of a day of celebration with the people we know and love.

Having been a bartender for years I know the value of a good party! I’ve heard the good, bad, and ugly when it comes to DJs… and then I’ve heard DJ Haymaker. He falls into into a category all of his own – SUPERB! Over the course of a year I heard DJ Haymaker entertaining guests every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at weddings and Christmas parties at the Harvest Golf Club where I tended bar. You would think after so many nights of hearing the same DJ that I would get bored – not the case! Without fail, every party-goer who came to my bar loved him… it’s definitely thanks to him that I had to work so many late nights – people just wouldn’t go home when he was there.

When I got engaged I knew I needed Jeff Hay aka DJ Haymaker to DJ my wedding. I wanted the biggest, best, and most spectacular wedding around and knew that Jeff was the guy to make it happen. I can be difficult to work with – I want what I want when I want it. Jeff was instrumental in making everything I wanted happen. From meeting with us to plan everything, sourcing some difficult to find songs for our ceremony, working out last-minute details and basically acting as DJ-meets-wedding-planner, Jeff was nothing short of amazing!!

We had a very diverse crowd of people – from age 19 – 90. Jeff made sure that everyone had a great time – when it looked like people were about to leave, Jeff would do some quick thinking DJ Magic and play a song to get them all back up on the floor again. Our party raged on all night thanks to Jeff! He made sure people stayed hyped up and ready to party.

Everyone at the wedding commented that Jeff was worth his weight in gold. Even my 90 year old grandfather thought the games and activities were fun! Yes, games at a wedding!! It was a great ice breaker and allowed everyone to let loose in preparation to get their party on! I would not hesitate to recommend DJ Haymaker for whatever event you may be having.

If you a bridezilla like me I can assure you that nothing shocks him! He will put your worries at easy and he will treat you with the utmost respect and professionalism! You better book him early though – DJ Jeff Haymaker is highly in demand!!!

We want to let you know what a great help you have been to Ryan and myself, from the initial planning right up to the day of our wedding. We booked you before anything else and the help you provided to us about other aspects of the wedding (photographer and venue, etc.) were crucial in making our wedding as great as it was.

We could always count on you for feedback and ideas. On the wedding day itself, you were organized and made sure we knew exactly where we were supposed to be and what time things should be done. We did not feel stressed at all and the night flowed so seamlessly that we were able to relax and have fun!

The games and activities made the night unforgettable and your ability to make everyone in my wedding party feel important was so special; we had a wedding party of 12 and they commented that you knew their names!! That was awesome. Ryan and I felt that you were able to capture exactly what we had in mind for our wedding and the day was perfect!!

Where to start……..

We were very excited to have DJ Haymaker at my daughter’s wedding.

We had experienced Jeff in action at other events and knew the energy he could put into an evening. We were not disappointed.

From immediately after the ceremony to the last dance of the evening Jeff kept the evening flowing.

Tasteful, fun, action packed, exceptionally amusing it was all there.

The dance floor was full from the first song to the last, credit also to the amazing crowd we had at the wedding but also to Jeff’s skills in reading that crowd.
