Jeff, what can we say… “You make life easy.”

After our first meeting we knew we wanted DJ Haymaker as both DJ and our Wedding MC. It took a lot of pressure off of our friends and family members that we would have asked to MC, and truly allowed everyone to have an amazing evening. Jeff took the time to learn who we were as a couple, what our interests and personalities were like, and address any potential concerns that we may have had before on our special day. Jeff’s experience with weddings was very evident by the questions he asked and he was able to make some terrific suggestions regarding our location, layout, and timing of events during the evening.

For everyone reading this, Jeff Hay has many talents. He is extremely professional and first and foremost puts the bride and groom’s interests above everything else. As our Wedding MC, he coordinated the food with our arrival to the hall, warmed the crowd up with a series of amazing ‘games’, and caught all the small details we missed. He also has an incredible ability to read the crowd during the night and keeps the party moving so there is never a dull moment. People are still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding. It’s truly a pleasure working with someone who loves their profession – and with Jeff it shows.

Jeff!! Awesome night!! It was so good. My dad especially was so impressed. He had a great time and even remarked he hasn’t had “THAT much fun at a wedding in a very long time”!! He had fun….could u tell??

Everyone has been saying that it was great… as we hoped they would! Thanks to you!! I was worried that being a Sunday people would pack ‘er in early but totally not the case at All. The day was flawless and so organized. It was great.

Jeff Hay/DJ Haymaker is an awesome DJ. PERIOD

From the earliest stages of planning our wedding, Jeff was completely involved and excited to help us create the perfect day. He got to know my fiance and I and our daughter as individuals and as a family and incorporated it all into our wedding celebration.

He had our guests out on the dance floor all night, whether they were dancing or playing games, they were having a great time. I had so many guests tell me that they have never had so much fun at a wedding ever! Jeff has my highest recommendation. He truly made our wedding what it was. And it was fabulous! Thanks Jeff!! It was awesome!

We are so glad that we booked DJ Jeff Haymaker for our wedding. Giving him the MC duties was the best decision ever. First off, Jeff single-handedly managed the timing with the kitchen, the bar, the wedding planner, and the guests when we were running late after pictures. Because of Jeff’s throuough process for pre-interview questions for us and with our face to face meeting with him a year prior to the event, we got to know him and had the total confidence to pass total control over to him when the time came. Let me tell you, he literally ran the show for us – and made our day much more enjoyable as we were able to sit back and have fun.

That is only the beginning though! One of Jeff’s finest attributes is to judge the crowd, and adapt. When people are crying, he will make them laugh. If they are getting bored, he’ll have something to get everyone’s attention. After the speeches, we played a couple different games – but the best by all accounts was the ‘Survivor’ game. It involves someone from each table peforming a series of tasks with one person eliminated each round. I won’t ruin the final round, but let me tell you by the end of this game everyone was laughing so hard and it definitely got everyone’s spirits up and got them ready to dance! Then come dance time, Jeff sets out a chest of different hats for guest to wear – we had the two grandmas up and dancing with cheeseburger and hot dog styrofoam hats on! I’ve never seen one grandma dance in my whole life, nevermind two! I could not beleive it, but 90% of our guests were on the dance floor all night!

We highly recommend Jeff. Right from the get go he stated he was very excited to be part of our big day. Our guests (and our) feedback shows. All of our guests did call our event the wedding of the century. It was totally to the whole entertainment Jeff provides as a DJ and MC. We can honestly say we do not wish our big day went any other way. I’d like to thank Jeff again for the great memories, as they will definitely last a lifetime.

Our wedding went flawlessly, and it was largely due to the experience and professionalism of Jeff Hay.

We asked him to do our ceremony music as well as the reception, and it was well worth it; smooth execution and on top of everything without being noticed (sounds impossible, but Jeff can do it!)

Not only did he write up our timeline, he helped us stick to it.
The games he chose for our crowd were amazing! Everyone got a good laugh getting to know us and our parents better. And, as promised, even the timid and shy got right into it.

The great aunt’s all agreed “That Jeff Hay fellow is just wonderful!”
And the kids were absolutely sure “Best night of our lives!”

Jeff’s rapport with children is amazing, and the suitcase of tricks was a huge hit!

We wanted to send along another note of thanks for your amazing work with our wedding back in May. I admit that because we were having such a small group (~50 people) I wasn’t initially sure whether hiring a DJ would be worth the expense for a small group. But we’re SO glad we went ahead and booked you – it made a world of difference for our reception and was worth every cent.

I can’t overstate how much we appreciate all you were able to help us with — it went way beyond just helping us choose music! You really listened when we first talked about the type of wedding we wanted and you caught on to details right from the get-go. In the week leading up to the wedding you were so helpful as we set the timeline/schedule for the reception (and I appreciate how you worked around our busy schedule that week). And then on the day-of, you did an amazing job of reading the crowd and getting everybody involved in your great post-dinner/pre-dance games. I would say to your future clients, even if you think games won’t be “your thing,” do consider Jeff’s suggestions – I never would have imagined how well they turned out!

True to your word, we’ve had so many of our guests tell us that our wedding was the most fun and entertaining one they had ever been to — and so much of that is because of you!

DJ Haymaker played a pivotal role in the huge success of our recent June 2011 wedding! I would highly recommend his services to anyone in the Okanagan area looking for a DJ with complete confidence.

Right from the earliest stages of inquiring and booking his service, it was clear that his experience speaks for itself. He was extremely organized and professional. He also genuinely wants to make your night special and stress free. His couple’s questionaire makes it easy and comfortable to share what you want to share with him, and allows him in turn to fit right into your party of selected friends and family as if he’s known you as long as they have. In fact, I can honestly say I had more guests express how fantastic he was at my reception than I had complimenting my dress!

Jeff also had excellent and informed suggestions throughout the planning process to help make our wedding a night to remember. From the ceremony layout and song choices, to the reception timeline and activities, when he has ideas or suggestions to make your event more fun you can trust him with confidence! For example, he helped us break our reception up a bit by adding some hilarious games that the tables could participate in.

He couldn’t have been more right about the difference those games can make in dance participation and keeping the party going. Even over a month after our wedding I’m still hearing guests talk about it and specifically they’re talking about the elements and party games that Jeff brought to the night.

I really felt that we were completely taken care of and that he made it easy for us to just relax and enjoy the party knowing that everything was going to go perfectly and stay on track. He kept us in the loop of what was coming throughout the evening, while not burdening us with details we didn’t need to worry about.

I can’t speak highly enough in praise of Jeff for what he did for us and our wedding. I hope that anyone reading this is fortunate enough to have an upcoming event that they need a DJ for, because if so – you’ve found the man for the job!

Planning a wedding from out of town is never the easiest thing to do, but I think we surrounded ourselves in the best the Okanagan has to offer, and the result was amazing.

Right from our first contact with Jeff, everything seemed to fit well and the stress level dropped substantially. It was like we had known each other for years!

Jeff worked around our schedule, was quick to suggest ideas and responsive to our own. He was really big on making this our wedding, and best suited to us.

He took the time to familiarize himself with a new location and a tricky setting, allowing the event to flow much smoother and making a few less decisions for me.

On the day of the wedding, Jeff ensured that people were in the right spots, knew their cues and he wasn’t phased by the minor delays. At the reception, he read the crowd to a tee, keeping us laughing and dancing throughout the night. Numerous guests have commented that this was the best wedding they have been to, or the one they had the most fun at.

We really enjoyed working with Jeff. I can’t imagine how the wedding would have gone without him on our team.

When we first started planning our wedding we had to ask around about venues, photographers, music, flowers etc… We kept hearing “You have to use Dj Haymaker”

From our first meeting with Jeff, we felt so comfortable with him and were very impressed with all his suggestions and ideas he had.

The night of our wedding we were blown away. He made the evening fun right from the start and kept it going till the last dance.

During the evening, our guests would come to us and ask ” Who is he related to?” He was so personable, people thought he was part of the family.
