Choosing Jeff to be the DJ for our wedding was the best choice we possibly could have made for our day. Throughout the planning, he was a calming, reassuring presence for us, and he gave us lots of great advice. Jeff is an excellent listener-we feel like he completely understood our vision for our wedding and was able to run with it. Having him to rely on not only in the day before and day of the wedding, but in the months and weeks leading up to it was a huge stress reliever. Honestly he is no ordinary DJ- he is an expert all things weddings and some of his ideas that he contributed were some of the greatest highlights of our wedding! On rehearsal day, Jeff got involved with our marriage commissioner and venue coordinator to ensure everything went smoothly on the day of and was able to completely take any of the stress off of us. On the day of, Jeff was beyond amazing. Not only did he completely deliver as an MC (being hilarious, with great timing and contributing some awesome games to surprise our guests), but he was our go to person for support with any issues or concerns we had throughout the night. He was a great support for us in dealing with the little stresses of the day, and also delivered the best party we ever could have asked for! The two of us, and our 100 guests were literally on the dance floor for the entire night until the venue was shutting down. Jeff was able to keep the party going and give us the night we were dreaming of. So many of our guests have let us know how amazing and fun he made the evening, and some of our friends are already looking to book him for their own wedding. Looking back, we are both so grateful that we chose to get Jeff involved in our wedding as both our MC and DJ and would highly recommend him to any couple looking for a once in a lifetime party at their wedding.

We got married on September 23rd 2017 at ShyLynn Ranch near Salmon Arm. We found Jeff through a list of vendors posted by our venue on their website. We planned our wedding from Edmonton, AB. Jeff played a huge part in making our wedding day perfect from the start. Jeff was always available to help and was so much more than just a DJ / MC.

Despite our wedding being the first event that Jeff had at our venue, he worked with us and our venue manager to organize a flawless day. He made sure he arrived with plenty of time to be set up and to help us with anything we needed. Jeff gave us a sense of calm. When he says “don’t worry about anything, leave it to me”… he means it and you can trust that things will be perfect.

Our guests were a little slow to start with the party but Jeff read the crowd perfectly and by the end of the night everyone at the wedding had been on the dance floor throughout the night. Jeff also had some great suggestions for some very memorable moments to make the day as personal and special as it was fun. Everybody had something positive to say the next day… and we heard more than once that he was the best entertainer that people had seen. One of our groomsmen even tried to book Jeff for his wedding in the future… he’s not even engaged! WHAT A PARTY!!!

I am always leery about online ratings and testimonials… especially when they’re all positive, but after working with Jeff, I believe all of them and feel very privileged to have had him as our entertainer / MC.

Now that everything is all settled down, we wanted to take the time to thank you both for helping us out with our wedding at Summerhill on Sept 17.

From the beginning planning process (all the forms you provided for us to fill out, slideshow tips, initial meeting to give us ideas for planning) to putting it all together the day of our wedding, it was honestly a real pleasure working with you two.

We truly appreciate all the extra things that you (Jeff) did for us that day including, but not limited to, being there for us during the rehearsal, the fantastic lighting, helping us coordinate the group photos after the ceremony, contacting the shuttle driver, and being so patient with us for the slideshow.

On top of that, so many people were telling us after the wedding how much fun they had and appreciated the ice breakers in the beginning and the music selection (BSB and Fresh Prince!).

DJ Haymaker was the perfect addition to our wedding! We’ve known Jeff for a few years now, and he has always done amazing performances no matter what the event or venue was. He has a way of bringing in the crowd and delivering exactly the right song at the right time to create the perfect atmosphere. We were very happy that we got to fill out a pre-wedding questionnaire about our likes and dislikes about music. On the big day there were never any thoughts or worries about the music; everything seemed to flow perfectly.

Jeff is much more than a DJ! His MC skills are phenomenal! The games we played during the reception were so much fun and it was great to see all of our guests involved. We loved that Jeff was in communication with all of the important people involved in making the wedding day go smoothly (bride/groom, pastor, wedding party, day-of-coordinator, kitchen, etc) to make sure he knew exactly what was going to happen and when.

We got married on September 1st, 2017 in Kelowna, and our wedding was amazing!  It went off without a hitch, and a large part was due to Jeff.  Having an amazing DJ was so important to us, and picking the best was a no brainer.

We found Jeff on weddingwire.ca and his reviews were off the charts, so expectations were high. We were also planning our wedding by ourselves from Vancouver, without any help from a wedding planner, and Jeff was instrumental helping us plan our day, and not just the music.  He made himself available for phone calls often in the months leading up to the wedding to help us plan, and to get to know us.  Jeff also knew many of our vendors, and they knew him – The reputation Jeff has in the Okanagen is amazing, as many of our vendors were incredibly complementary of Jeff, and were excited that we booked him.

In the days leading up to our wedding day, Jeff made sure we were all aligned on music, schedule, and just really helped calm our nerves. He provided music for our ceremony at the church, and the reception, and was able to fulfill all our requests.  We also had a good friend of ours MC our wedding, and Jeff worked really well with him.  Their chemistry was amazing, and everyone thought they knew each other for decades.

When it came to get the party started, Jeff knew exactly how to get people excited with entertainment that involved everyone. The costumes and games were on point and super fun and everyone was laughing hysterically. Then it was was time to open up the dance floor…. he played all our requests at the perfect time and kept the energy going until 1am.

After our wedding, many of our closest friends and family kept saying how amazing our DJ was, and that if we knew him, and if he was part of our circle of friends.  The hard work and effort Jeff takes into preparation is second to none, and his delivery is genuine and so personable it was like he knew us for years.

Jeff was amazing to work with, he was an excellent MC and coordinator. He took our ideas and ran with them, and if we brought an idea to the table that might not work he gave his honest opinion and helped us try something different. As the bride I had zero stress during the planning process and heading into the big day. I had complete trust in Jeff and was able to relax and just enjoy the celebration. He is extremely thorough and after only a few phone calls it felt like we were old friends! Some of our wedding guests actually thought we were old family friends.

He read the crowd just right and played the BEST music. The party could have kept going all night! All our friends were raving about it the next day, many people said it was the funnest wedding they’d ever been to.

We highly recommend Jeff and his services, he is clearly so passionate about what he does and our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without him!”

My husband and I chose Jeff to DJ/MC our wedding. Best choice we ever made. He was more then just the DJ/MC, he planned a majority of our special day! It was everything we both dreamed of and more. His choice of games, music and everything else was incredible! The party was hoppin’, His expertise is amazing, he knows how to fill the room with laughter and fun, he gets all of your guests involved. Our wedding day went so smoothly, from the very beginning at the ceremony, right through to the last guest standing.

We would highly recommend Jeff for any occasion! But especially for the biggest day of your life. Absolutely wow! I have to say right from the beginning of wedding planning to dancing the night away our experience with Jeff and Jennifer was a breeze! We are from out of town and were worried about not being able to meet before booking however, Jeff put a nice personal touch right from the get go in setting up a phone date to really get to know us. Throughout the planning process both Jeff and Jennifer were 100% present, I never waited more than 24hrs for a response if it wasn’t immediate. Jeff asked all the right questions to get to know our guests and what type of music, games and interaction would keep the party going all night long.

The day of went off without a hitch. From our wedding music to bridal party introductions and then dancing into the wee hours of the night Jeff coordinated perfectly with our Emcee’s to figure out the perfect combination. We had many people chatting afterwards about how much they learned about us when Jeff did a how well do you know the bride/groom game to get the dinner service started. His upbeat, fun yet professional personality made our guest feel comfortable and really got the party started during dinner!

Song after song people danced at the night away. We don’t ever remember a moment when the dance floor was empty and people raved all night about how perfect the music was. Our guests also mentioned to us that they’ve been to multiple weddings in the last year and ours was by far the funnest and most memorable.

Thank you so much for being an instrumental part of our day and doing such a great job! Our friends know us as being the dancing/party couple and the reception was a perfect reflection of us! Couldn’t have asked for a more memorable night!
