DJ Haymaker is truly the best at what he does. He is a wedding planner and entertainer all rolled into one.

We had our wedding at the El Dorado this September and had a small 60 person wedding.

We wanted all of our guests to sit back relax and be entertained, so we asked Jeff to be our MC as well. He did such a fantastic job at MC’ing, DJ’ing and helping make the night run smoothly. After getting an idea of what music we were liked, he threw in some of his own music into the mix and it was fantastic.

We had him do the music for the ceremony as well. We loved the tunes he selected, once he knows what music style you like, he is fantastic at setting the mood.

We had nothing but glowing reviews from our guests for DJ Haymaker. Funny, sincere and professional would be 3 words that immediately pop into my mind. We had our doubts about the games at first, but they just really work so well with the crowd. Our favourite was the Newlywed game.

With Jeff you do not have to worry about a thing. We ended up missing our cocktail hour to take more photos and arrived right as dinner was being served. Had we asked one of our guests to MC, I would have been nervous we weren’t there…it was so nice to KNOW our guests were in good hands !!

Jeff is one of a kind! When we were searching for a wedding DJ in Kelowna, I knew that we had to go with the “Haymaker” just from all of the great stories that I have heard from his events. Experiencing it first hand at my own wedding really confirmed that we made the PERFECT decision having Jeff be a part of our wedding day.

We can truly say that our wedding day was MEMORABLE, FUN, PERSONAL and one that all of our family and friends have continued to talk about thanks to Jeff. Even weeks after our wedding, our family and friends keep asking us, “Where did you find this guy?!” and talking about how fun the night was.

Jeff works his magic to create an environment for your wedding that is both inviting and comfortable. He helps to ensure that the evening flows seamlessly from dinner through to speeches and even manages to get the quietest relatives on the dance floor. Mixing in the right amount of humour, Jeff made it an enjoyable night for us as well and constantly checked in to ensure that we had enough time to see all of our guests.

Throughout the entire night the dance floor was packed with all of our family, young and old! Everyone enjoyed the whole night and kept telling us “Best Wedding Ever!”

We cannot use enough kind words to describe how grateful we are that Jeff was apart of our night. He helped make our wedding the best day of our lives, and a night we will never forget.

We wanted to thank you for your services at our July wedding. We are so unbelievably pleased to have had the opportunity to meet you. We feel you captured our personalities perfectly in your song choices, games and jokes. Everything was so seamless and there was a great energy and atmosphere in the room. It was very important to us for everyone to have a good time. Three days have passed since our wedding and we are constantly getting messages about how much fun people had that night. We really appreciate how you got to know us, and as our MC, included all our guests in our wedding from start to end. It really felt like you were telling them “our story.”

In a day in age where good service is hard to find, you showed us that it still exists. In the last two months before our wedding we were debating on whether to spend money on getting a DJ for our wedding or save money and do an iPod playlist.

Using Jeff for our big day was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process.

We used him for our ceremony music, our reception DJ, and he was also our MC. He really played such a huge role in the planning process to ensure we had thought of all the little details. He gave us some outlines about things that we should think of and suggestions of songs which we found really helpful.

On the day of Jeff provided the music for the ceremony and it went perfectly. He spoke with the minister beforehand and the execution of songs and microphones was great! At first we were unsure if we wanted to use Jeff as our MC because we had wanted a friend to do it, but decided to go with Jeff due to recommendations from our other friends. The introductions, games and speeches all went great. The intros and games were hilarious and the transitions and timing was exactly what we wanted.

Throughout the night people kept coming up to us and asking us whose uncle Jeff was, because everyone thought he was family!!

We heard feedback from our guests that the reception was the best and most exciting party they had ever been to – which is exactly what we were going for! People who normally only stay briefly after the first dance were closing the place down – including my grandma who hasn’t been out that long in many years!

We also found it helpful that Jeff is well connected in the industry and knew the people at our venue and our photographer, he was able to coordinate with these people on the day of to keep everything on schedule which really reduced our stress level.

We would highly recommend Jeff to anyone for a DJ and MC!
