We got married on September 1st, 2017 in Kelowna, and our wedding was amazing!  It went off without a hitch, and a large part was due to Jeff.  Having an amazing DJ was so important to us, and picking the best was a no brainer.

We found Jeff on weddingwire.ca and his reviews were off the charts, so expectations were high. We were also planning our wedding by ourselves from Vancouver, without any help from a wedding planner, and Jeff was instrumental helping us plan our day, and not just the music.  He made himself available for phone calls often in the months leading up to the wedding to help us plan, and to get to know us.  Jeff also knew many of our vendors, and they knew him – The reputation Jeff has in the Okanagen is amazing, as many of our vendors were incredibly complementary of Jeff, and were excited that we booked him.

In the days leading up to our wedding day, Jeff made sure we were all aligned on music, schedule, and just really helped calm our nerves. He provided music for our ceremony at the church, and the reception, and was able to fulfill all our requests.  We also had a good friend of ours MC our wedding, and Jeff worked really well with him.  Their chemistry was amazing, and everyone thought they knew each other for decades.

When it came to get the party started, Jeff knew exactly how to get people excited with entertainment that involved everyone. The costumes and games were on point and super fun and everyone was laughing hysterically. Then it was was time to open up the dance floor…. he played all our requests at the perfect time and kept the energy going until 1am.

After our wedding, many of our closest friends and family kept saying how amazing our DJ was, and that if we knew him, and if he was part of our circle of friends.  The hard work and effort Jeff takes into preparation is second to none, and his delivery is genuine and so personable it was like he knew us for years.

All we can say is what an amazing experience booking our DJ was. From the very first meeting with DJ Haymaker, he made you feel like you have been friends for a very very long time. Jeff is very easy to work with and has some great ideas on making your special day all that less stressful and awesome! Talk about a stress free day with you have DJ Haymaker at the helm. He kept everybody entertained and made sure while we were away getting photos etc that everybody was happy and relaxed and fully taken care of. From the games chosen to the music picked to walk down the aisle to it was all seamless and very well taken care of. If you want a DJ that will make your day that little bit more stress free then DJ Haymaker (Jeff) is your guy! Thank you again!

Jeff was amazing to work with, he was an excellent MC and coordinator. He took our ideas and ran with them, and if we brought an idea to the table that might not work he gave his honest opinion and helped us try something different. As the bride I had zero stress during the planning process and heading into the big day. I had complete trust in Jeff and was able to relax and just enjoy the celebration. He is extremely thorough and after only a few phone calls it felt like we were old friends! Some of our wedding guests actually thought we were old family friends.

He read the crowd just right and played the BEST music. The party could have kept going all night! All our friends were raving about it the next day, many people said it was the funnest wedding they’d ever been to.

We highly recommend Jeff and his services, he is clearly so passionate about what he does and our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without him!”

My husband and I chose Jeff to DJ/MC our wedding. Best choice we ever made. He was more then just the DJ/MC, he planned a majority of our special day! It was everything we both dreamed of and more. His choice of games, music and everything else was incredible! The party was hoppin’, His expertise is amazing, he knows how to fill the room with laughter and fun, he gets all of your guests involved. Our wedding day went so smoothly, from the very beginning at the ceremony, right through to the last guest standing.

Absolutely wow! I have to say right from the beginning of wedding planning to dancing the night away our experience with Jeff and Jennifer was a breeze! We are from out of town and were worried about not being able to meet before booking however, Jeff put a nice personal touch right from the get go in setting up a phone date to really get to know us. Throughout the planning process both Jeff and Jennifer were 100% present, I never waited more than 24hrs for a response if it wasn’t immediate. Jeff asked all the right questions to get to know our guests and what type of music, games and interaction would keep the party going all night long.

The day of went off without a hitch. From our wedding music to bridal party introductions and then dancing into the wee hours of the night Jeff coordinated perfectly with our Emcee’s to figure out the perfect combination. We had many people chatting afterwards about how much they learned about us when Jeff did a how well do you know the bride/groom game to get the dinner service started. His upbeat, fun yet professional personality made our guest feel comfortable and really got the party started during dinner!

Song after song people danced at the night away. We don’t ever remember a moment when the dance floor was empty and people raved all night about how perfect the music was. Our guests also mentioned to us that they’ve been to multiple weddings in the last year and ours was by far the funnest and most memorable.

Thank you so much for being an instrumental part of our day and doing such a great job! Our friends know us as being the dancing/party couple and the reception was a perfect reflection of us! Couldn’t have asked for a more memorable night!

When we heard through the grapevine that DJ Haymaker was the DJ we “had to have” for our wedding, we had no idea how true these statements would end up being. Jeff Hay genuinely made our wedding day the day we always hoped it would be; fun, organized, and incredibly memorable. He worked with us patiently throughout our entire 2 1/2 year engagement (even though we were planning from afar) and provided guidance for almost all of the decisions along the way. Jeff is kind, caring and fun. He made every effort to get to know us leading up to our wedding, and as our MC, made sure the room was full of laughter and smiles the entire evening. As our DJ, he kept the room dancing and the dance floor was packed until the very end of the night.

Meeting with him a few days before our wedding calmed my every nerve. He worked closely with all of our vendors and our venue to ensure the day ran smoothly behind the scenes, so we didn’t have a single worry and could enjoy every aspect of our day.

Jeff truly helped us put together a day that our family and friends have repeatedly said was the “best wedding ever!!”.

He is incredible at what he does, and we can’t thank Jeff enough for the care and effort he put into making our wedding one of the best days of our lives.

Hands down he is THE best DJ and MC I have seen after attending over a dozen weddings in the past 20 years! The passion and enthusiasm he puts into creating the best entertainment for a wedding is amazing. Our family, friends, kids and most importantly us will never forget it.

I hired Jeff as my MC, DJ, and coordinator for my wedding day. This was the best decision I made for my wedding because Jeff played such a large role leading up to and on the big day. He offered me great advice for timeline, recommendations for different officiants, and was genuinely interested in helping to ensure everything would come together.

Jeff perfectly executed every song during the ceremony, and had every guest out of their seat with excitement as we played survivor. Throughout the dance he played a large variety of music to please all ages. I couldn’t believe how many people were on the dance floor right until last call.

Jeff is incredible at what he does, all night and for days after my wedding, I was constantly told your “DJ was amazing” and “that was the best wedding I’ve ever been too.” It was a common consensus that he kept the dance floor full, had everyone engaged and laughing throughout the night. I am so grateful to Jeff for making my wedding the absolute best day and creating fantastic memories for everyone who was there.

Jeff provided the soundtrack to the best party we could have ever hoped for. He kept everything on track, and everyone on the dance floor. Everyone from Grandma to “party animal friend” had a blast and we couldn’t be more thankful. We can honestly say that our special day wouldn’t have been quite as special without DJ Haymaker! Not only was the party a success, but Jeff took the time to get to know us throughout the planning process. From start to finish, he helped us feel confident that we had the right man for the job, and it was a huge weight off our shoulders. We can’t imagine our wedding day without Jeff in it!

As a wanna-be bride since the age of 5 I knew my wedding would be planned and executed the best it possibly could be. Living in Calgary but choosing Kelowna as our wedding destination meant I had to have control and organization from 7 hours away. Dress, photographer and DJ were the top 3 on my list of things that were worth money. Having a non-stop, fun-filled, dance party was the focus of our reception. I had heard of Jeff from many friends and family who live and work in Kelowna and had experienced DJ Haymaker at weddings or corporate functions. Fun Fact: Jeff was the DJ at my aunt and uncle’s wedding 12 years prior and I remember the fun games and dancing all night! Hence, I contacted Jeff and there started our friendship of DJ and bride-to-be. Jeff made sure to call me (a few times) so we could get the ball rolling on what we wanted our guests to experience at our reception; BEST.DAY.EVER was on our vision board (as I’m sure it is for many brides & grooms). Jeff made sure everything would happen to make it true! I never felt like I had to figure anything out myself. Jeff asked me all the questions and made arrangements for my uncle to sing me down the isle, helped my friend make an emotional slide-show and made sure all of our 12 bridal party attendants were comfortable at the head table. Jeff was not only our DJ but also our emcee, day-of-coordinator and go-to man for any questions wedding related. You will probably hear this from many people but Jeff will tell you himself, that you get what you pay for. You want someone to press play on an ipod? Not Jeff. Guest interactions and laugh-worthy games not on your vision board (well what kind of non-fun wedding are you having?!)

They always tell you (as the bride) to expect that not everything will go as planned. Well I prepared myself for that, but to be honest, nothing (that I knew of) went wrong and if it did Jeff has kept it a secret as he handled it or fixed it himself. Our friends and family will corroborate that our wedding was THE BEST DAY EVER! and DJ Jeff Haymaker was a big contributor in making that happen.

I look forward to seeing DJ Haymaker at my cousin’s wedding in May and playing survivor and dancing the night away at the next (almost as good as ours) best.wedding.ever!
