Wow ok this took forever for us to sit down and write… sorry for the
delay! Seriously when you write your bio, call us cuz we have some awesome
stories to add about our wedding that were too long for the review!!!

Thanks again for everything… we are not making it up when we tell
you that people are still talking about August 18th. It was so
awesome, a much needed party, and we could not have done it without
you!

We are already talking about a little reunion/5 year anniversary
celebration in a few years with the whole crew… you my friend will
be included!

I just wanted to let you know how much fun everyone had at the wedding. All evening long and well into the next day, everyone kept saying ” this is the best wedding we have ever been to”

A huge big thank you to you. You really know how to engage people and keep the party going.

Your sound system is great, your lights are awesome and your games are second to none.

And I can’t forget your outrageously fun hat trunk. You are so good at what you do.

Thank you so very much. You definitely made the reception turn out 100%.

I do have one question however: What on earth do people do when they don’t hire you?

I have thought about it, and I have decided that people who don’t hire you to look after all that you look after, must have boring weddings or at the very least, very fragmented weddings.

Again, thank you so very much. You are most definitely in the right business. I hope you are still very much involved with weddings when my son gets married one day. I would love to ask you to come to his wedding as well. It may be a few years from now, so don’t retire for many years.

My husband Cary and I were married at The Harvest Golf Club in Kelowna, B.C. on August 10, 2012 and Jeff Hay was the ULTIMATE Wedding Entertainment Director! When we were engaged in August of 2010, we were referred to Jeff Hay from many local vendors. They all raved about his services and high energy and as soon as we receieved an email back from Jeff we knew that we were going to have a GREAT time at our wedding! He kept his positive and uplifting energy in this emails through right until the big day! There was no question about that, we had the funnest day ever! Jeff was very helpful with his wedding planning forms for the ceremony and reception and gave amazingly helpful tips along the way. When we met for lunch with Jeff to go over the details, one year before the wedding date, Cary and I could hardly wait for the day to arrive as Jeff had us grinning from ear to ear with excitement! He had us laughing and looking forward to all of the fun activities he had in store for a day that we had put so much effort into and so much work! It was so reassuring to know that he was going to match our passion and excitement and help work as a team to make wonderful memories happen!

When I met with Jeff in our Reception room before the ceremony I almost teared up when I saw him wearing a turquoise dress-shirt! It was such a thoughtful thing to do and showed he went above and beyond to notice our details and colors. He was apart of our wedding day team 100%! Jeff completed the music for our ceremony and added to beautiful ambiance and setting. He was helpful with guiding us through the timing for the walking down the isle! Everyone could hear the music and by using his lapel microphone our guests could hear our Vows! This was huge to us and we were grateful for his skills at setting everything up properly! After meeting with Jeff one time, we knew we wanted to hire him to be our Master of Ceremonies! This was one of the best decisions we made for our Wedding! Jeff’s energy and natural talents as public speaker and entertainer kept our reception lively and energetic ALL night! We went into our Reception carefree and with confidence as we knew Jeff would deliver a wonderful Party! Jeff was very helpful with planning the timeline set up for our day and lead the night with style and class. The Games and activities for our guests were so much fun and every guest had fun participating or was entertained by watching the activities! We have so many fun photos and guests have hilarious memories from the great night!

There was all smiles throughout the room all night and we have continued to hear amazing feedback from our guests. They have all be raving it was literally the best wedding they had every been to! They have exclaimed that we hired the best DJ they have ever scene. A friend commented the other day that it felt like Jeff knew us from before the wedding. This showed how much Jeff paid attention to our story and took the time to learn about us. Our goal for our wedding Reception was to have our family and friends to enjoy themselves and have a great time! Jeff helped us exceed our expectations and we are extremely grateful for the effort that Jeff exerted that went above and beyond his role as a DJ and MC. We will cherish our wedding day for always and I would recommend that anyone planning a corporate or personal event to book with Jeff Hay. He will be the glue to hold your day together and will provide you with an experience that will leave you with everlasting memories and smiles.

We just go back from our honeymoon in Tahiti and still feel so excited about our wedding! We both had a fantastic time. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm, support and honesty throughout the entire wedding planning process. All of our guests have said it was the BEST wedding they have ever been to (yes!)! Honestly, the day after the wedding we got so many texts, emails, phone calls from on friends and family saying just how good it was. The proof to us was that so many people stayed right to the end (including both sets of parents). Also, Justin rarely ever dances, so to see him on the dance floor for 50% of the evening was SO GREAT for meJ! We are still talking and laughing about so many moments from that night (survivor, the hats, Party Rock Anthem, Avici and Bounce combo (Justin’s favorite), our first dance, our last dance (we were both still humming New York, New York on the plane to our honeymoon) our fact, fact fiction) there are just too many so many!!!

As soon as we met Jeff, we knew that we had made the right choice for our wedding DJ. He was enthusiastic, honest and supportive throughout our entire planning process and made us that much more excited for our big day. One thing that sets him apart is that he is always looking and willing to try new ideas to entertain our guests. From the moment Jeff took the microphone for introductions, he grabbed our guests’ attention and didn’t let go! He 100% orchestrated our entire reception; I didn’t have to worry about a thing. He knows the right music to play which was evidenced by all of our guests dancing and the majority of guests staying until last call! He is the reason why we enjoyed our reception! Dear Jeff

Wow! You have so many kudos from the happy couples are on your site; now here is one from the parents of the bride!

On July 1st, 2012 our daughter, Lauren and her “best friend” Derek were married at La Punte Norte near Summerland. Everything about the day was perfect – the stunning views, the beautiful sunny day, Jarrod’s song to his sister and new brother-in-law and an incredibly happy wedding couple.

But what topped it off and made it a night to remember was you! You made it fun. You organized and managed the whole evening so we could enjoy ourselves knowing that everything was taken care of and under control. Your skill at pacing the evening was flawless. The games were a perfect mixer for everyone and set the tone for the dancing which followed. You joined in the festivities, sized up the crowd and played just the right mix of music to get everyone up on the dance floor (including the twins)!

Your sense of fun was infectious! We had so many people say to us that it was the best wedding they had been to.

A big thank you from us for making Lauren and Derek’s wedding day so special in so many ways.

Let’s be honest…………..you are a SUPER ROCK STAR!!!

The continual emails, text msgs, cards, flowers at my door are definite proof “WE” did AMAZING!!

The most popular comment has been……”When are we doing that again!!” Even the staff at the Capri were asking if I’m booking again next year because they so enjoyed having us all – CRAZY!! Who invites 200 people to a party and 200 people dance ALL NIGHT LONG……we probably could have went till 4:00 in the morning….haha!!

I can’t Thank You enough for making the night fantastic – you definitely have a “gift”!!

Aloha Jeff!

We are in Hawaii and loving it. We really felt that our wedding was awesome. You played a significant role in that. Thanks you for all of your work, energy and excitement.

Wanted to send along our thoughts to you as a testimonial – sort of our DJ shout out…here ya go.

My fiance had attended a wedding that Jeff had been the DJ/MC for a few years ago; she said that he was awesome and a must have for our big day. Initially I was a bit skeptical…after-all how can someone who doesn’t know either of us do a great job at being our MC?” We even worked to plan the date of our wedding around his schedule!

The result? Jeff did an amazing job at being both our MC and DJ. He listened to what was important to us, he was professional, he was intentional about working the room to get to know our guests and he brought the PARTY to our reception. If you are looking for a DJ/MC, Jeff is your guy. We had many, many guests tell us that our wedding was the best ever!! Thanks for everything Jeff. You rock the house!

DJ Haymaker is honestly the best entertainer/DJ/MC for hire that there is! During the months before the wedding, we met a few times, for about an hour and a half each time, to really talk about the wedding and what our vision for the evening was, as well as just to give him an opportunity to get to know us. He also worked together with our MC’s and helped out with a lot of MC duties, which allowed our MC’s to enjoy the night as guests as well. He has so much experience that he was able to offer some incredible ideas and advice to help make the evening flow a lot more.

His website also has some great ideas for songs for walking in to the ceremony and walking out and we went with some unconventional, yet FUN, music (i.e. the groomsmen and bridemaids walking in to “Hockey Night in Canada” and the Canucks “Where the Streets Have No Name” theme, since Budd was as avid hockey player in the past). He incorporated a lot of what he learned about us into the entertainment for the evening, whether for the “quiz” to determine which tables get to eat first or for the “Newlywed” game. Jeff has a few “trunks” of goodies (hats, masks) that he brought out for all the guests to enjoy for the night and be silly! We used these props for the Survivor game, which was clearly the hit of the night…. people running around with hats and masks, trying to gather items from their “tribes” and returning to the dance floor, only to find that a few chairs had been removed…which is how they got voted off. He played anything that was requested and really made the evening all about us and our guests. It was the best night of our lives, right up to the last song, a “sing-along” if you will!

The entire day was such a success that we are now trying to plot some kind of annual party so that we can hire DJ Haymaker for an annual “best party of the year”!!!

Hey Jeff

We got back from the honeymoon and got thrown in negotiating the sale of our rental condo. Glad that is over with lets just say we wont be landlords again anytime soon. We are settled back into work now and finally had some time to do this properly. We did not want to rush this thank you/ testimonial as you are well worth all the praise and accolades.

First off we would like to personally thank you for the amazing job you did. It truly was a special day we will never forget. It was such a pleasure to get to know you and even though we had only met a few times it really felt like we had known each other before. You just get it and we got that. From remembering names and places to little details and stories you truly have a knack for people. Entertaining is something that come easy and is so genuine from you. As any couple has their doubts and apprehension about the details of their day we honestly felt we were in good hands and we were not wrong. From doing some real classy yet hip music at the ceremony to entertaining the crowd with icebreakers and games then keeping the party dancing all night you made it happen. Thank you! For my dad to get up and participate in a game of wango(?) stick was a priceless moment. You really cared that everyone had a good time and it showed.

I saw so many people step out of their comfort zone that night and it felt awesome to be a part of it. You cant put a value on that. Everyone that we talked to had such a great time and we thank you again for that. It really was an amazing night. Thanks for the memories.

We hope this is not the last we have heard from you as we make the Okanagan a favourite holiday spot. We would love to chat and catch up someday soon.
