Dear Jeff

Wow! You have so many kudos from the happy couples are on your site; now here is one from the parents of the bride!

On July 1st, 2012 our daughter, Lauren and her “best friend” Derek were married at La Punte Norte near Summerland. Everything about the day was perfect – the stunning views, the beautiful sunny day, Jarrod’s song to his sister and new brother-in-law and an incredibly happy wedding couple.

But what topped it off and made it a night to remember was you! You made it fun. You organized and managed the whole evening so we could enjoy ourselves knowing that everything was taken care of and under control. Your skill at pacing the evening was flawless. The games were a perfect mixer for everyone and set the tone for the dancing which followed. You joined in the festivities, sized up the crowd and played just the right mix of music to get everyone up on the dance floor (including the twins)!

Your sense of fun was infectious! We had so many people say to us that it was the best wedding they had been to.

A big thank you from us for making Lauren and Derek’s wedding day so special in so many ways.

Let’s be honest…………..you are a SUPER ROCK STAR!!!

The continual emails, text msgs, cards, flowers at my door are definite proof “WE” did AMAZING!!

The most popular comment has been……”When are we doing that again!!” Even the staff at the Capri were asking if I’m booking again next year because they so enjoyed having us all – CRAZY!! Who invites 200 people to a party and 200 people dance ALL NIGHT LONG……we probably could have went till 4:00 in the morning….haha!!

I can’t Thank You enough for making the night fantastic – you definitely have a “gift”!!

Aloha Jeff!

We are in Hawaii and loving it. We really felt that our wedding was awesome. You played a significant role in that. Thanks you for all of your work, energy and excitement.

Wanted to send along our thoughts to you as a testimonial – sort of our DJ shout out…here ya go.

My fiance had attended a wedding that Jeff had been the DJ/MC for a few years ago; she said that he was awesome and a must have for our big day. Initially I was a bit skeptical…after-all how can someone who doesn’t know either of us do a great job at being our MC?” We even worked to plan the date of our wedding around his schedule!

The result? Jeff did an amazing job at being both our MC and DJ. He listened to what was important to us, he was professional, he was intentional about working the room to get to know our guests and he brought the PARTY to our reception. If you are looking for a DJ/MC, Jeff is your guy. We had many, many guests tell us that our wedding was the best ever!! Thanks for everything Jeff. You rock the house!

DJ Haymaker is honestly the best entertainer/DJ/MC for hire that there is! During the months before the wedding, we met a few times, for about an hour and a half each time, to really talk about the wedding and what our vision for the evening was, as well as just to give him an opportunity to get to know us. He also worked together with our MC’s and helped out with a lot of MC duties, which allowed our MC’s to enjoy the night as guests as well. He has so much experience that he was able to offer some incredible ideas and advice to help make the evening flow a lot more.

His website also has some great ideas for songs for walking in to the ceremony and walking out and we went with some unconventional, yet FUN, music (i.e. the groomsmen and bridemaids walking in to “Hockey Night in Canada” and the Canucks “Where the Streets Have No Name” theme, since Budd was as avid hockey player in the past). He incorporated a lot of what he learned about us into the entertainment for the evening, whether for the “quiz” to determine which tables get to eat first or for the “Newlywed” game. Jeff has a few “trunks” of goodies (hats, masks) that he brought out for all the guests to enjoy for the night and be silly! We used these props for the Survivor game, which was clearly the hit of the night…. people running around with hats and masks, trying to gather items from their “tribes” and returning to the dance floor, only to find that a few chairs had been removed…which is how they got voted off. He played anything that was requested and really made the evening all about us and our guests. It was the best night of our lives, right up to the last song, a “sing-along” if you will!

The entire day was such a success that we are now trying to plot some kind of annual party so that we can hire DJ Haymaker for an annual “best party of the year”!!!

Hey Jeff

We got back from the honeymoon and got thrown in negotiating the sale of our rental condo. Glad that is over with lets just say we wont be landlords again anytime soon. We are settled back into work now and finally had some time to do this properly. We did not want to rush this thank you/ testimonial as you are well worth all the praise and accolades.

First off we would like to personally thank you for the amazing job you did. It truly was a special day we will never forget. It was such a pleasure to get to know you and even though we had only met a few times it really felt like we had known each other before. You just get it and we got that. From remembering names and places to little details and stories you truly have a knack for people. Entertaining is something that come easy and is so genuine from you. As any couple has their doubts and apprehension about the details of their day we honestly felt we were in good hands and we were not wrong. From doing some real classy yet hip music at the ceremony to entertaining the crowd with icebreakers and games then keeping the party dancing all night you made it happen. Thank you! For my dad to get up and participate in a game of wango(?) stick was a priceless moment. You really cared that everyone had a good time and it showed.

I saw so many people step out of their comfort zone that night and it felt awesome to be a part of it. You cant put a value on that. Everyone that we talked to had such a great time and we thank you again for that. It really was an amazing night. Thanks for the memories.

We hope this is not the last we have heard from you as we make the Okanagan a favourite holiday spot. We would love to chat and catch up someday soon.

Hey Jeff,

We are loving being married, but life has been non stop since the wedding, can’t wait for things to settle down so we can do some camping.

We had an absolute blast at our wedding. When things settled we were going to send you a thank-you email for all of your wonderful work, it would not have been as much of a success without you being a part of it.

When we were planning our wedding a DJ was a no brainer for us, and you were a no brainer choice. We heard of you through simple old fashioned, word of mouth and from what people were telling us, we knew you would be the perfect fit.

From our first email to you our experience was amazing! You were high energy, had lots of great ideas and made planning our big occasion very fun. You took a lot of our worries away by being available to answer our many questions, gave us great song ideas, and truley made our day about the two of us. I especially appreciated all the work you did mixing up the perfect father daughter mash up and sending us the music in advance so we could coreograph everything perfectly. By the way I think we knocked it out of the park with that one.

The ceremony music was spot on, from our personalities down to the timing of it all it was magical. Exactly what every bride wants during her big moment to shine.

Oh my goodness I have nevery had so many laughs during a wedding reception. We love the game, how well do you know the bride and groom for figuring out who ate when at dinner. The newly wed game was phenomenal, the questions you asked we are still debating over and having had continued to have great laughs over the questions and answers. Survivor!!! What a way to get the crowed involved with one another, and we loved the costumes, those added great conversation.

The dance music for the reception was the exact mix we wanted, nobody was getting off the dance floor except to rehydrate. The lights, costumes and music added the perfect touches to our party. Being a huge dancing fan, I can’t tell you how much I appreciated you continuing to play my requests long after the agreed to shut down time.

You are a spectacular DJ and made our day so memorable, not only for us the bride and groom, but for all of our guests.

Thank you again for your great work during our wedding. When Shawna a I got engaged, we knew first off that we wanted you to be our DJ. We had been to a few weddings that you have done in the past and each of those weddings were among the most exciting and fun-filled weddings that we had attended. When it came to our special day, you did not disappoint.

The ceremony music was great and well timed out. You had some great ideas for potential songs, and we believe that our final selections were the best ones that suited both of us.

Having you be the MC for our wedding was great because you were able to control the flow of the evening and get more involved with the entire event. All the games that you had set-up were great and made it an awesome night for all our guests. Mostly, the Survivor game got both of our families involved with each other and made for some wild and wacky memories. Who would have thought they would see 3 grown men thrusting their hips wildly trying to put a small ball into a basket. Many of our guest had made comments of the night as being “the best wedding in years…”

As for the dance and rest of the night, you were lights out! Everyone had a great time on the dance floor and it was awesome that you were able to cater to all the various styles of music that our guests requested. It was shocking to see Shawna’s dad Simon out there dancing all night. We all had a great time and would most definitely recommend you as a DJ and/or MC for any event.

DJ Haymaker is a must have!

So first and foremost, thank you SO much for the best wedding ever! I think we definitely accomplished our goal, and people will be talking about it for years to come. It was just completely and utterly the most perfect day. I cannot thank you enough for all your hard work and effort put in to really make it about Jacob and I.

Secondly, some sad news. My Grandma Norman passed away unexpectedly yesterday, so I found out the news today and am grieving and dealing with this sad news. However, thank you again for making her feel so special on my wedding day, as this will be how we always remember her. She got to have an amazing weekend with her family, and is now with my Grandpa.

Thank you Jeff for everything!

Again, so amazing and we have no regrets and will remember every bit of the day! And you will be talked about for years!

The day was in all honesty the wedding of my dreams! It was absolutely perfect! It came in hot, and went all night long baby!

Scott and I had such an amazing day, it was better than anything I could have imagined, I know my opinion is a little biased but it was the best wedding I’ve ever been to! 🙂 (maybe a lot biased!) I had a ton of people some up to me complimenting your work! Everyone loved you! I hope you had fun at the wedding too, because we sure did!

The wedding truly was better than I could have imagined, and you were such a huge part in that! Heehee and when Scott and I were dancing he commented on the music, him and his buddies were like “ man, we couldn’t have picked better music, this is all the music we used to listen to in your truck back in the day, it brought back a lot of memories for a lot of people. Scott and I loved our day, zero complaints.

I just wanted to thank you again for being such an awesome crucial part of our wedding, we’re still having people rave about our awesome interactive DJ and how our wedding is the best they’ve ever been too, which is pretty darn awesome!

Thank you again for such an unforgettable night! Scott and I couldn’t have imagined a better night! Thank you for everything!
