DJ Jeff Haymaker was fantastic. He knew our vision for our wedding was to keep people laughing and having fun all night, and he did not disappoint. The music was absolutely bang on— the dance floor was not empty once all night! Not only was the music on point, but he was a phenomenal MC for the event.

The MC is the heart of any event, and Jeff delivered flawlessly. The crowd would have thought that we had known Jeff for our entire lives- he definitely did his research. He was able to keep everyone intrigued and laughing the entire day and night.

Further to this, Jeff was our day of planner. (Yes, he wore many monumentous hats for us!) As the bride, I was anxious that I would have to stress over details during the wedding day. I did not. He made sure everything ran smooth behind the scenes and if there were any hiccups (which I’m sure there were), Jeff made sure I was unaware of them and able to fully immerse myself in the wedding bliss.

After the wedding, every person we spoke to commented on how phenomenal Jeff was. He literally made the day/night. I would highly recommend having Dj Jeff Haymaker at any event.

Jeff went above and beyond our expectations. He was professional to work with, and very knowledgeable about anything wedding related. He had great suggestions leading up to the day, and took the stress away from us so we could relax and enjoy when the day finally arrived. Where do we even start, to say Jeff was great is an understatement. Going into the planning process we didn’t realize how important having a professional DJ would be. We are so happy we hired Jeff and would highly recommend him to every bride and groom out there.

Originally we did not plan on having Jeff be our MC but with covid changes this was probably one of the best things that came out of it. Our guests are still taking about how amazing and personable Jeff was all throughout the night! There was never a dull moment and Jeff brought an energy and excitement that really solidified the ambience/vibe we wanted to have.

Not only was he an amazing DJ and an MC but he also had so much valuable insight for our timeline, set up and planning leading up to the wedding. Not to mention he has run many weddings in and around the Okanagan and knows all the key players in the industry.

Getting a great DJ was very important to us for our wedding, we got that and so much more with Jeff! He did a phenomenal job as our emcee as well as helping us plan our timeline and music and essentially being our day of coordinator. Every conversation we had with him prior to the wedding made us feel at ease and all of the things we were “stressing” about were no big deal.

Jeff went over and above our expectations by attending our rehearsal the morning before bringing music so we were sure we had the right songs picked for the ceremony. We thought about hiring a day of coordinator but after speaking with Jeff about it decided not to. It’s hard to express how great he was on the wedding day; he was there early to set up and text messaging both of us to see if we needed anything. Throughout the day he was always making sure the day was flowing as planned and that we weren’t getting too overwhelmed. We felt that he was truly there for us!

The days after the wedding we’ve received many compliments from our guests about how much fun everyone had. The games Jeff had planned were a huge hit with our crowd, they really broke the ice and had every person engaged and enjoying themselves. The dance floor was packed all night, he really did a great job reading the crowd. No one wanted the party to end!

Jeff will tell you he’s typically more expensive than most DJ’s and we will tell you he’s worth every penny! We highly recommend him and will definitely refer him to all of our friends and can only hope they will take our word for it so we can attend another extremely memorable DJ Haymaker event!

Where to even start?

Do you want your ceremony to go smoothly with no stress from a music and mic aspect?

Do you want your reception to rock all night long- to the point that even the grandparents are up groovin' and movin' it?

Then Jeff is your man. My husband and I had Jeff out for our wedding on June 15th and honestly there’s no one better.

He just handles it, he has fantastic ideas, games and suggestions that one can only get from years of crafting his art.

Along with that he’s also a pretty wicked guy, easy to talk to and arrange things and just generally seems to love what he does, which makes such a difference.

Our celebrant and DJ were what we got the most compliments on after the wedding, do yourself a favour and stop looking, just book him!

When planning our wedding it was the chats with Jeff that I looked forward to the most. Wedding planning is challenging, to say the least, and I could always count on Jeff to give us the tips and tricks we needed to pull the event together. Jeff is a Bride's best friend, you can't ask for a better organized buddy to keep everything stress-free on the big day. However, he is also THAT guy that everyone wants at your party. You know... the kind of guy that starts the party the moment the moment he walks through the door. Games, jokes, and a big loud voice to make sure everyone knows whats going on. One of the most frequent comments we've had since the wedding day other than "Wow, your wedding was perfect!" and "BEST PARTY EVER!" is... "Your DJ was REALLY good." We couldn't agree more.

As I'm sure to no surprise Carl and I haven't missed a beat since our wedding day. One week after Kelowna we packed up all of our favorite people and wedding decor and headed off to Ontario for wedding reception number two!  Needless to say the party was great but we missed our favorite DJ!  One month after that we packed our bags to head off on our 32 day honeymoon travelling around Europe.  Ireland, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.  An absolute trip of a life time that we will never forget. Last but not least, we are looking forward to the little bundle of joy expected to arrive October 4th! Married life has been just as wonderful as we could have imagined.

Even though we are now 6 months married I wanted to share our appreciation for what an important part you played in our amazing day. So here it goes.......

"Where did you find this guy?" "Tonight has been so you guys" "I don't want the party to stop" "Hands down best wedding DJ/MC we have ever seen" Shall I go on?  Our guests could not stop raving about Jeff and how he topped off the already amazing day.

When we first started planning our wedding the top three important things were our officiant, entertainment and food. We were to spare no expense.  We were referred to Jeff through friends ours that had either used him for their own wedding or had attending one of the events he hosted.  We were assured that we wouldn't be disappointed.

After chatting on the phone and emailing back and forth we finally got the opportunity to meet up in person. After that we had no doubt that he was going to be worth every penny we had to spend. This guy is so unreal at his job I don't know how any else in the industry keeps up.  He not only took the time to get to know us on a business level he took the time to really get to know who were were as a couple, individuals and how crazy our families might be!

The amount of detail Jeff takes in and then applies to evening makes every moment so special. As my husband and I are from two opposite sides of the country we had a lot of people coming together for the first time so we really needed someone who could help with getting everyone up and intermingle.  He blew this out of the water!  He worked that room like no ones business not leaving a single person out.

My feet were so sore the next day because I didn't want to get off the dance floor all night. If the venue would have allowed it we may have kept him there until all wee hours of the morning. As they say all good things must come to an end!

Carl and I couldn't have imagined our day without Jeff and no words can describe how grateful we are that he was a huge part of such an important day. We can't wait to hire him for our next event! 5 year anniversary party maybe?!?!?!?!?! And have no doubt we will still have two bus loads of guests for you to entertain.

The best money we spent on our wedding was easily having Jeff as our DJ. We knew after seeing him at our friends weddings that we HAD to have him!

From the very start, we knew we were in good hands - his experience helped us through so many important decisions...including what songs we were going to walk down to. He even helped by meeting with us and our JP to make other very memorable decisions about the ceremony.

Then came the reception...one of my favourite parts was the introductions to our wedding party - he took the information we gave him and had everyone in the place laughing until they had tears in their eyes.

The games! Oh the games. Exactly what I had hoped for! He knew exactly how to draw out the crazy in our crowd. So many laughs!

And of course the dancing...I have NEVER seen a dance floor completely full for an entire wedding reception. He did that. He knew how important the dancing was to me and he played EVERY song I could have asked for...sometimes twice if we asked! haha!  He even took video clips throughout the night that I know we will cherish forever.

So much more than just a DJ...he's an MC...an entertainer...a comedian...and by the end of the night...practically family. He MADE our reception what it was...a night we won't soon forget.

When Chris and I first started planning our wedding it was overwhelming.

We were given all these dates to choose from and all these vendors who you don't know a thing about until you review review review on Google. Very time consuming. Since Chris and I lived in Calgary and our wedding was in Kelowna making decisions was even more difficult, that feeling you will make the wrong choice was in the air. Jeff wasn't the first DJ we spoke with but he was the only one we considered.

Jeff really stood out to us because he wanted to get to know us. From the first correspondence we had to our first face to face meet and greet. He wanted to know everything. Our likes and dislikes, all of our silly quirks, and of course everything about our family and friends involved. The planning forms he uses seem overwhelming at first. Trust me you must fill them out as detailed as possible if you want to laugh until you cry at your wedding.

Chris and I were worried about how both families would come together and party it up on our special day. Jeff had these amazing little tips and tricks. He also had these hilarious games that blew us all away with laughter and fun. I have known some people for years and have never seen them dance like they did the night of my wedding. He really knows how to open people up and make everyone feel welcomed and involved. My family could not believe that Jeff wasn't a part of the family he has such a warm genuine tone to everything he does.

It became more apparent as the planning process went on that Jeff is the go to guy for absolutely any questions you may have about your wedding. Don't be shy. When he didn't know answers he asked other wedding vendors. He made our lives so much easier from planning to our wedding day running flawlessly without a single second of boredom.

Jeff is not just a DJ, he was an entertainer, a super organizer, and a wedding consultant guru to us. It was a bonus he played great music too, even our grandparents loved it! We wanted the best day ever and Jeff made that possible.

Jeff ( DJ Haymaker ) is so much more than a DJ! He is so awesome and played a huge role in our wedding.

He helped keep me calm as it started to rain just before our ceremony with his positive attitude and was coordinating with our other vendors to think of a new plan! Good news the sun came out just in time !

At our reception he did a great job working with our MC and kept everything on track ! Jeff also had great games to get the party going ! He truly loves his job and has a passion for it .

Jeff kept our party going to the very end with his high energy . All of our family and friends are still raving about not only what a great DJ he was but what a great person. Everyone enjoyed the music he played and kept asking where we found him !

Selecting a DJ / MC for our wedding was not a simple task. So many choices out there and all promising a great experience. We found Jeff – DJ Haymaker online and then met him in person at the Wedding Expo in Kelowna. His personality was exactly what we were looking for; he promised an incredible experience and boy did he over deliver!

Jeff’s expertise goes far and beyond your standard DJ service. Where he really shines is delivering the MC role! In the manner he introduced the head table we felt like we had known him for years. His ability to break the ice with interactive games was both genius and hilarious! His music selection was great and he was totally open to requests. This kept the dance floor full all night long!

We had a technical issue with our laptop which was used to deliver our slide presentation, Jeff was bound and determined to get it working as he knew how important this was to us. He hunted down another laptop and with the help of an IT guy they got it working! The effort he displayed to get this working was nothing short of incredible. Most people would have said,”sorry…” but not Jeff!

If you want to ensure your wedding runs smoothly and your friends experience the Best Wedding Ever, look no further!! We received so many positive comments. The first text message I received the following day was “Funnest wedding ever!” The picture that was attached really made me laugh!

My husband and I did not originally plan on adding a DJ service to the budget for our wedding this summer.  We, mistakenly, thought that our day would “do” with an iPod; we assumed someone would take on the role of MC; and we hoped that family would help us coordinate last minute things on the day of.

After 11 years together, we knew what we wanted for our wedding… The conversation about just going down to City Hall had been brought up, and then shot down, when we realized we had waited over a decade to share this moment with our families and closest friends, and it was our wish to celebrate in the best way we could think of.  We wanted fun, we wanted laughter, we wanted love and we wanted the “Best. Wedding. Ever.”

We started to realize that if we wanted a party, we needed a professional, but we were worried about finding someone that could decode our sporadic thoughts, crazy ideas and contradictory music selections.  I called Jeff on a whim after reading an overwhelming amount of positive reviews and recommendations about him on various sites online. After speaking with Jeff on the phone, my now-husband and I KNEW we needed Jeff.  He had charisma, he was funny and fun (yes, we could tell that on the phone), he was caring and incredibly considerate of our wants, needs and limits.

A few weeks before the wedding when my husband and I finally met Jeff in person, we were both beyond stressed.  Life was overwhelming us, planning was drowning us and we were both ready for it all to “just be over”…  One of the first things Jeff asked us was how we were feeling, and when we told him, rather honestly, how we felt, he nodded in understanding and asked questions in concern.  He told us, “by the time we’re done talking today, I promise you will feel 10x, if not more, better then you do just now…”  He was right.

From that moment on and right up until the last hours of our wedding reception, he was right.  Jeff has this incredible talent for what he does.  Not only is he the epitome of professional; but he is outgoing, trustworthy, creative with his games (you HAVE to play the group games he does), funny, an excellent MC, a fabulous day-of coordinator, and an all-around good guy, but he made possible a wedding that we both felt like we had been waiting for, for a very long time.

My husband and I got married July, 1st 2016 at the Eldorado in Kelowna . We picked Jeff to be our DJ pretty early on because he had done my brother and sister in laws wedding 3 years prior and definitely left a lasting impression so I didn't feel it was really an option to try anyone else.

We are also not from Kelowna we are from Slave Lake, AB and I found Jeff made it really simple and easy for me to deal with long distance. Now as per our wedding he was absolutely amazing. We met a couple days before with Jeff as well as our MC and we all hit it off! The meeting with Jeff got us super exited for the big day. There was one small issue with a song I had picked as it had some talking in the version I had wanted which apparently was not very easy to find so Jeff confirmed with me if it was something I had wanted for sure or not and I assured him it was. I did not have to fret for long about it as Jeff apparently got to work quickly because hours later I had gotten a text assuring me he had found the one I wanted, not that I had any doubts he wouldn't.

Jeff is one of those people that right off the get go you just feel like you know he will always pull through.

Now to the big day! For our ceremony, I know most brides or grooms say they just "saw the person" didn't know or hear what else was going on, well I am not that bride haha. Music is just one of those things that makes a moment for me and Jeff pulled it off perfectly. I never once heard a pause when a song  should be starting, no breaking up in the music, he actually even managed to look like a happy guest in the background on some of the pictures our guests had snuck which was totally fun because it is a lot nicer then just being like "oh there is the DJ in the background just doing his job and doesn't care about the wedding." which for me is going above and beyond. Also one thing that I didn't expect was Jeff had actually suggested a photo he had seen done at our wedding location to do with all of our guests and honestly I am so glad he suggested it because I wouldn't have even thought of it and now we have a photo of all of our guests who attended the wedding which normally people do not get to have!

On to the reception, now I must say our MC got along great with Jeff which doesn't surprise me because well he is super easy going but their communication made the night amazing everything fell together perfectly and their games were definitely a fan favorite. One of the games we played Jeff had done at the wedding we attended years prior and I was a bit worried a lot of the guests would say " Oh we did this before blah blah" nope he changed it up just enough that they had a complete blast and are still 28 days later talking about how hilarious it was.

One thing for me though that was most memorable was his ability to remember guests names and faces. We had a lot of guests comment on the fact that he did this and when he announced the guests song he would give a little fun speech about them and the song he was playing for them which really made it feel like he knew everyone from my family personally and like he was a part of the wedding, not just as the DJ but as a friend or family. Even throwing in some funny jokes about  some of my crazy families dance moves or song choices which made everyone crack up including that guest themselves.

I honestly couldn't have picked a better DJ and judging by the guests comments about how amazing he was I don't think they think I could have picked a better DJ. Again like I said they are still talking about how the DJ was one of the best parts of the whole wedding. Thanks again Jeff you were AWESOME!!!

If we could write a book outlining all the ways Jeff helped us during our wedding it still wouldn’t be enough.  We hired him over a year in advance to DJ/MC our wedding.  Planning a wedding in a city you live 7 hours away from was a daunting task but Jeff ensured that our worry was his priority.  He said from day one of meeting that his main goal was ensure we had peace of mind on our day and that every guest walked away feeling it was the “best wedding ever”.

June 18, 2016 arrived, somewhat overcast in the morning but hey it makes for great pictures right? The outdoor ceremony (with no back up plan I might add) was to start at 3pm and around 2 Mother Nature decided to release a torrential down pour… and she didn’t let up.  Jeff, luckily was up at our venue early and managed to reorganize EVERYTHING to accommodate a ceremony under our reception tent. When I say everything I mean seating, alter, processional, grand entrance, signing of documents and live entertainment.  You don’t realize how much there is to coordinate when you have to do it last minute, in the RAIN. All I can say it thank god for Jeff.  The wedding party and myself showed up and he met with each of us to ensure we were all at ease, understood when and where we walked and enjoyed each minute of it!

Following the ceremony was cocktails and music prior to dinner.  Jeff had the music pumping in the tent and while we were out doing photos people would come up to us and state how much fun everyone in the tent was having.  This was such a relief, I can’t even tell you; especially due to our shattered plan of outdoor lawn games during cocktails and the wet feet!

Our reception rocked, and ALL because of Jeff; holy crap he outdid himself. Between the music mashups, games and jokes everyone was either dancing up a sweat or laughing hysterically. There was never a dull moment, it was absolute perfection and had no hiccups or lulls.  My biggest worry on this day had always been timeline of the reception; which happens first, who initiates what, etc.  Jeff took control, handled it all. We never had to even think, we just enjoyed it and let it all play out and it was beyond amazing.

We truly believe Jeff was the glue to our wedding.  He held it all together, planned and coordinated, offered guidance, and picked up slack in other areas.  In fact, I believe he was the first person we thanked at our speech, simply because he made the day happen.

He is now the biggest part of our wedding story, a dear friend, and our biggest wish for any upcoming weddings!

When people ask me what my favourite aspects of our wedding were, I say our ceremony (I mean, we were getting married after all!) and Jeff. Jeff was my second most favourite aspect of our wedding.

Right from the beginning, we knew we were in good hands which immediately put us at ease. Jeff is so eager to learn more about you as a couple and always assures you he is there to simply make this the best day of your life. We got the premium package because it was really important to us to create a memorable experience for our guests and we have no regrets.

If you can, I would encourage you to look at this package to because it allows Jeff to do what he does best. He seamlessly coordinated our ceremony music and created an environment at our reception that cannot be duplicated by anyone. He was witty, spontaneous, and creative and comes by this talent so effortlessly that it allowed us and our guests to enjoy ourselves knowing that all of the fundamentals, timing and logistics were in place too.

I can confidently say that having Jeff on our “wedding team” was one of the best decisions we made.

We got married on October 24, 2015 at the Hotel Eldorado in Kelowna, and what a spectacular day and evening it was.

A HUGE part of the magic of the day was the incredible support and talent we received from Jeff Hay – DJ Haymaker, not only at the wedding itself, but prior to.  We hired Jeff to be our DJ, Day of Planner/go to person, and MC and it was the best decision we made!  From start to finish, we got so much more than we expected!  He is fun, kind and knows so much about weddings that from the moment we started to work with him, we were put completely at ease. Peace of mind when planning a wedding is hard to come by, but that is what we got from Jeff. Thanks Jeff, from the bottom of our hearts!

Prior to: We live in Calgary so although not too far away, Kelowna was still a destination wedding for us. Jeff made it easy to connect to make plans and discuss what we wanted.  From choosing our music, to the set up of the wedding timeline and flow of the day/evening, he had a ton of great suggestions (all of which we used) that helped us plan the perfect wedding.  He went out of his way to make time to meet with us when we were in Kelowna and had limited time – even though it was his busy busy season!  The best part was the Mash up he did for us for our 1st dance.  We decided to do a surprise dance with a few fun songs and moves and Jeff helped us by not only putting the Mash together (3 different versions based on changes we wanted) but also making recommendations for the music.

Wedding Day!: The entire day and party went off without a hitch (or if there was one, we certainly had no idea, because Jeff handled it all behind the scenes).  He had all our music cued and managed all the logistics with our venue and Officiant so there was not confusion for us or our guests. Our cocktail hour was a smash hit with our Mash-up dance and he even extended it/and pushed back dinner so we could enjoy some of it as he knew that was important to us. The Party?  Well what that will go down in history as “the best wedding ever” which is what all of our friends are saying. From some great icebreakers, to memorable and sentimental moments he pulled off the perfect mix. The dance floor shook all night and with the variety of ages we had there, he made sure there was a mix of music for everyone.  Many of our friends and family have specifically asked where we found him and exclaimed how fantastic he was.

I don't even know where to start about how incredible DJ Haymaker is... Jeff made our wedding a spectacular day - from ceremony to reception!

His service, communication and preparation for our day was beyond compare! He was such a phenomenal energy, overflowing with ideas and suggestions to make the day personal and unique!

And then Party Time... And WOW! The only word to come to mind!

The crystals were definitely shaking all over Sparkling Hill!!! He engages everyone in the room - even my 72 year old Aunt trying to get a basketball in the net... Around her waist no less!!! LoL! His variety and attention to detail is above and beyond!!! My husband and I closed down our own wedding because we couldn't stop dancing!!!

Jeff was the BEST choice we could have made and feel incredibly lucky to have had to honour of meeting him and having him a part of our big day!!!

I had trouble coming up with feedback for Jeff, but not because he wasn't great; it's because he was almost TOO good so I had trouble not rambling about how awesome he is!

I'm a 'planner' (aka a little bit of a control freak) and I normally like to be the one to do everything, but with Jeff I was able to hand over the reins and let him take control, and I'm so glad I did! He made our day run so unbelievably smooth, because he's not just a DJ but he's also a wedding planner, friend, confidante, MC, and DJ all in one.

We had a bridesmaid running late, it started raining, and I was panicking and Jeff made sure that everything was sorted perfectly. He entertained people so nobody even realized we were running late, and he organized the guests and wedding party to accommodate for the rain.  Jeff made sure that we followed a timeline, he kept people entertained, ensured our guests knew where to go and what was going on, and he definitely kept the bridal party calm and organized.

Jeff did everything -he helped organize other vendors, helped get everything set up for the reception, and made the transition from ceremony to reception so easy.

He was also our MC, and he had the entire room laughing and my bridal party was almost in tears from laughter. Everything from his introductions to the games he played were fantastic. He is 100% an entertainer (not just a DJ), and I'm so unbelievably glad he was our MC/DJ. I can't imagine it would have been as perfect as it was without Jeff. And of course his music is amazing!

Jeff played the songs we wanted, took requests, and he is so experienced he just knew what music to play to keep people on the dance floor. There wasn't a single time that the dance floor was empty all night! It's been almost 6 months, and we still have friends and family saying that our DJ was amazing and people wanting to know where we found Jeff.

My husband had all 4 of his siblings get married in the last 2 years, and his family has admitted our wedding was the most fun. I would recommend Jeff in a heartbeat, he will make your wedding go so smoothly, and it's just like working with a friend. He truly cares about making sure you have the best wedding ever, and he'll make it happen.

From the start of the ceremony until the end of the evening - Jeff was there rocking both of the ceremony and reception venues!!! As soon as we met Jeff we knew we needed him as our MC , we've all been to those BORING weddings where the second cousin , old school aunt , or unbearable in law was the MC and people just couldn't wait to leave - and that was most definitely NOT going to be the way to make our wedding the years "best wedding ever".

Having Jeff as our MC completely eliminated having any bias of grooms or brides family and allowed there just to be non stop, ongoing , fun and laughter!!

Family and a countless number of our (critical) friends are calling our wedding the "event of the year" - and we truly hold our Dj responsible for this! We had seen DJ Haymaker at a wedding previously and knew we had to have him cover ours. We were not disappointed!

Jeff made the planning process easy and reminded us of those little things we may have overlooked but would regret not having looking back. He gave us great feedback on our ideas and was always so willing to work with us. And our day was PERFECT!

We had been to a couple weddings that Jeff was a part of before, so we were well-aware of how great he is at what he does and we KNEW we needed to have him MC and DJ at our wedding. In fact, we literally chose our wedding day around his availability.... so I guess technically Jeff chose our wedding day - thanks Jeff! The weather was perfect!

Not only did Jeff surpass our already high expectations of hosting a GREAT party, but he was also very helpful along the way. What can we say - Jeff was everything we could ask for, and more! When we first met Jeff, he described himself as an entertainment coordinator, and that's what he was! He was our DJ for our wedding, our MC for the reception, and above all, he really was our entertainment coordinator for our wedding day!

Jeff was there for us from the very beginning. We first came across Jeff's services from a friend who had attended a wedding he put on, and heard such amazing things! When we first called him up, he was absolutely great. He gave us so much assurance from the very first call, asking us tons of questions, giving us tons of suggestions, and was very comfortable and had a lot of experience incorporating our two cultures - Chinese and Pakistani - into our wedding day. We were extremely impressed with our initial phone call with him, and even more impressed after meeting him in person to go through the details of our wedding day.

But let's get to the actual party! The dance floor was packed! Jeff has an ability to keep the dance floor going, feeling the crowd for what songs will keep the party going. It was quite amazing! DJ Haymaker made our wedding, during the year before our wedding we asked him a ton of questions as we needed help with many different things. He gave us lots of awesome ideas such as doing pictures before the ceremony, which by the way was the best idea ever! It keeps everything flowing without any gaps between the ceremony and the reception, and after the ceremony you can have some time to talk with the guests and have a glass of wine!

A few days before the wedding we met him for coffee again and went over everything to do with the wedding which was a huge stress reliever. He gave us some great ideas in regards to changing some things at the reception which we feel really made a huge difference.

For the ceremony at Cedar Creek Estate Winery he helped choose all the different songs for us walking down the isle and made some suggestions that we would have never thought of that really set the mood for the ceremony right from the start. He also was the MC for the whole wedding and kept everything rolling smoothly on time, he has the ability to read the crowd and kept everyone entertained all night!

The dance floor was going all night and there was never any gaps when the floor was empty, I couldn't believe almost half the guests were partying with us until 1am! It's the first wedding i've seen that the dance floor was so full all night right to the end!

I was not the bride at the wedding but I was everything else, the planner, the florist, the photographer, the sister of the groom, plus I had three of my own young kids attending.  I felt a lot of pressure for everything to go smoothly so when Jeff showed up and took over it was such a relief.  He is a wedding expert and understands the flow of a wedding, how to keep people entertained, and is extremely well spoken.  As a DJ he keeps the dance floor hopping all night long and has the ability to read a crowd and play music without being “told” or “asked”.  And his smile and demeanor just prove that he loves what he does!  Thanks Jeff, because of you I actually got to sit back and enjoy my brothers wedding.

Jeff was the best to work with for our wedding! Not only was he an amazing DJ but he also:

He has so many ideas and great music choices even if you have a couple must plays he fills everything else in for you and makes it a party!

On top of that his DJing skills were awesome!He has several games to play and lots of Fun props to use. His survival game is lots of fun and super funny. He gets everyone, young and old, into the games. Everyone had a blast with them and they were hilarious to watch! Everyone was laughing and smiling AND on the dance floor, it was never empty!

During and after the reception he was one of the main things everyone was talking about with how awesome everything went. How great the ceremony was and how perfect the music was for it and how everything flowed so well with the ceremony and reception. From the hilarious introductions to the games the got everyone out of their seats. He had great flow and just knew exactly what to do at each moment to keep everyone happy. Even now several weeks after our wedding people are talking about how awesome and beautiful it was and how much more amazing the DJ made it.

Not only did he make sure the guests had fun but he also made sure we were having fun. He kept making sure we had time to ourselves and breaks to just enjoy the day and kept reminding us to not stress and just have fun together. That it was our day and we could do what we want to enjoy it together. It goes by so fast and you are so busy sometimes you just forget to enjoy what you have spent so long planning but with Jeff around he made sure we didn't!

He was supportive of everything and just gave us the peace of mind to just not stress and enjoy our day.

Jeff Hay was an amazing DJ, he really made our party. It was such a small wedding with mostly just family I was afraid that the party would be a flop but Jeff got us rocking with his great energy, fun games, and amazing musical knowledge.

Alain & I, Jane, had about 40 days to plan our wedding which is full of decision making. We had to decide on a DJ, I was seriously considering Jeff Haymaker because a friend highly recommended him. I went to the bank to see if my budget could handle him. I told the bank clerk about Jeff and she said with great excitement, “we had him at our wedding & he was worth every penny”. So we decided to get him to help us make our wedding experience fun & memorable. We were lucky to get him because he actually had another possible booking the same day.

Jeff met with us before the wedding to get to know us & gave us a number of helpful ideas. He helped with the actual ceremony. We also had him as our Master of Ceremony & DJ. He kept things flowing, interesting & fun. He had several ice breaking games, a huge tickle truck with funny hats and props. The dance floor was full all evening with dancing people with goofy hats and smiles on their faces. All throughout the night people commented on the great job our DJ was doing.

We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves because we could trust him to run the show. We did not regret having him as a big part of our day.

We really enjoyed planning our wedding reception entertainment with Jeff Hay! It was great to get to meet him several times leading up to our event. He shared great song ideas, many of which we used for our formal dances. What's more is he shared many tips and tricks about the evening's proceedings that helped us organize other aspects of the night (games, speeches, etc.). We were able to use many of our own song ideas and he did a great job blending them together with "standard wedding dance music."

Jeff was there all afternoon, which gave him a chance to meet several of the guests, which made for a great lead-in for the reception and dance afterwards. We also used his wedding MC services which took the pressure off our family and friends. He did the basic MC duties (introducing the wedding party, introducing the speakers, etc) but on top of that he incorporated a couple fun games that allowed the guests to get to know not only us, but eachother better.

Choosing the right DJ for a wedding is not an easy task, as having the right guy there can either make or break the party. DJ Haymaker is THE GUY who will not only make the party, but he will go over and above all the callings of a simple DJ. Some of our guests thought he was not only the DJ but our wedding planner. Our reception was held in my parent's airplane hanger on their property but Jeff was totally comfortable with the unusual space. He worked the room and our crowd with ease. We had our wedding at the El Dorado this September and had a small 60 person wedding.

We wanted all of our guests to sit back relax and be entertained, so we asked Jeff to be our MC as well. He did such a fantastic job at MC’ing, DJ’ing and helping make the night run smoothly. After getting an idea of what music we were liked, he threw in some of his own music into the mix and it was fantastic.

We had him do the music for the ceremony as well. We loved the tunes he selected, once he knows what music style you like, he is fantastic at setting the mood.

We had nothing but glowing reviews from our guests for DJ Haymaker. Funny, sincere and professional would be 3 words that immediately pop into my mind. We had our doubts about the games at first, but they just really work so well with the crowd. Our favourite was the Newlywed game.

Using Jeff for our big day was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process.

We used him for our ceremony music, our reception DJ, and he was also our MC. He really played such a huge role in the planning process to ensure we had thought of all the little details. He gave us some outlines about things that we should think of and suggestions of songs which we found really helpful.

On the day of Jeff provided the music for the ceremony and it went perfectly. He spoke with the minister beforehand and the execution of songs and microphones was great! At first we were unsure if we wanted to use Jeff as our MC because we had wanted a friend to do it, but decided to go with Jeff due to recommendations from our other friends. The introductions, games and speeches all went great. The intros and games were hilarious and the transitions and timing was exactly what we wanted.

Throughout the night people kept coming up to us and asking us whose uncle Jeff was, because everyone thought he was family!!

We heard feedback from our guests that the reception was the best and most exciting party they had ever been to - which is exactly what we were going for! People who normally only stay briefly after the first dance were closing the place down - including my grandma who hasn't been out that long in many years!

DJ Jeff is worth his weight in gold! All we were expecting was good music, but Jeff went so far above and beyond. Right from our very first meeting, Jeff made us feel less stress knowing that he was involved in making our wedding perfect. Jeff’s biggest contribution to the wedding ceremony and reception was, in my opinion, keeping the flow of the event. My husband Cary and I were married at The Harvest Golf Club in Kelowna, B.C. on August 10, 2012 and Jeff Hay was the ULTIMATE Wedding Entertainment Director! When we were engaged in August of 2010, we were referred to Jeff Hay from many local vendors. We just go back from our honeymoon in Tahiti and still feel so excited about our wedding! We both had a fantastic time. DJ Haymaker is honestly the best entertainer/DJ/MC for hire that there is! During the months before the wedding, we met a few times, for about an hour and a half each time, to really talk about the wedding and what our vision for the evening was, as well as just to give him an opportunity to get to know us. He also worked together with our MC's and helped out with a lot of MC duties, which allowed our MC's to enjoy the night as guests as well. He has so much experience that he was able to offer some incredible ideas and advice to help make the evening flow a lot more.

His website also has some great ideas for songs for walking in to the ceremony and walking out and we went with some unconventional, yet FUN, music (i.e. the groomsmen and bridemaids walking in to "Hockey Night in Canada" and the Canucks "Where the Streets Have No Name" theme, since Budd was as avid hockey player in the past). He incorporated a lot of what he learned about us into the entertainment for the evening, whether for the "quiz" to determine which tables get to eat first or for the "Newlywed" game. Jeff has a few "trunks" of goodies (hats, masks) that he brought out for all the guests to enjoy for the night and be silly! We used these props for the Survivor game, which was clearly the hit of the night.... people running around with hats and masks, trying to gather items from their "tribes" and returning to the dance floor, only to find that a few chairs had been removed...which is how they got voted off. He played anything that was requested and really made the evening all about us and our guests. It was the best night of our lives, right up to the last song, a "sing-along" if you will!

The entire day was such a success that we are now trying to plot some kind of annual party so that we can hire DJ Haymaker for an annual "best party of the year"!!!

We got back from the honeymoon and got thrown in negotiating the sale of our rental condo. Glad that is over with lets just say we wont be landlords again anytime soon. We are settled back into work now and finally had some time to do this properly. We did not want to rush this thank you/ testimonial as you are well worth all the praise and accolades.

First off we would like to personally thank you for the amazing job you did. It truly was a special day we will never forget. It was such a pleasure to get to know you and even though we had only met a few times it really felt like we had known each other before. You just get it and we got that. From remembering names and places to little details and stories you truly have a knack for people. Entertaining is something that come easy and is so genuine from you. As any couple has their doubts and apprehension about the details of their day we honestly felt we were in good hands and we were not wrong. From doing some real classy yet hip music at the ceremony to entertaining the crowd with icebreakers and games then keeping the party dancing all night you made it happen. Thank you! For my dad to get up and participate in a game of wango(?) stick was a priceless moment. You really cared that everyone had a good time and it showed.

I saw so many people step out of their comfort zone that night and it felt awesome to be a part of it. You cant put a value on that. Everyone that we talked to had such a great time and we thank you again for that. It really was an amazing night. Thanks for the memories.

Thank you again for your great work during our wedding. When Shawna a I got engaged, we knew first off that we wanted you to be our DJ. We had been to a few weddings that you have done in the past and each of those weddings were among the most exciting and fun-filled weddings that we had attended. When it came to our special day, you did not disappoint.

The ceremony music was great and well timed out. You had some great ideas for potential songs, and we believe that our final selections were the best ones that suited both of us.

Having you be the MC for our wedding was great because you were able to control the flow of the evening and get more involved with the entire event. All the games that you had set-up were great and made it an awesome night for all our guests. Mostly, the Survivor game got both of our families involved with each other and made for some wild and wacky memories. Who would have thought they would see 3 grown men thrusting their hips wildly trying to put a small ball into a basket. Many of our guest had made comments of the night as being "the best wedding in years..."

As for the dance and rest of the night, you were lights out! Everyone had a great time on the dance floor and it was awesome that you were able to cater to all the various styles of music that our guests requested. It was shocking to see Shawna's dad Simon out there dancing all night. We all had a great time and would most definitely recommend you as a DJ and/or MC for any event.

So first and foremost, thank you SO much for the best wedding ever! I think we definitely accomplished our goal, and people will be talking about it for years to come. It was just completely and utterly the most perfect day. I cannot thank you enough for all your hard work and effort put in to really make it about Jacob and I.

Secondly, some sad news. My Grandma Norman passed away unexpectedly yesterday, so I found out the news today and am grieving and dealing with this sad news. However, thank you again for making her feel so special on my wedding day, as this will be how we always remember her. She got to have an amazing weekend with her family, and is now with my Grandpa.

Dj Haymaker was a huge part of our wedding day. From the planning before the ceremony and reception to the actual day. We met with him a few times before our wedding day going over songs, games and stories. He also kept in touch with us through email, which was very helpful as we lived 9 hours away. Jeff's goal was to make sure our wedding day was fun and a big party. It definitely turned out to being just that! During the reception Jeff had a lot of great games planned out. He got all our family and friends involved in the games which was a ton of fun! One of our favorite games we played was Survivor. Survivor brought both of our friends and families together to compete with other tables. One of the highlights of the night! All the music played during the ceremony and reception was chosen by us. Jeff would make sure he played music that we loved. He also played requests from our family and friends which made them get up and dance even more. There were times during the reception where he played 5 of our favorite songs. We loved that and did not expect it! When the night was coming to an end, Jeff played some great songs so everyone left on a good and excited note.

October 15th, 2011 was one of the greatest and fun nights of our lives and Jeff was one of the reasons why this was possible. He is such a great entertainer and DJ. I would definitely recommend Dj Haymaker for any special event or occasion.

We hired Jeff as our DJ and MC for our September 2011 wedding. Our immediate impression of Jeff was great, loved the energy and enthusiasm that he brought, this continued right through till our wedding day.

From the earliest stages of planning our wedding, Jeff was completely involved and excited to help us create the perfect day. He got to know my fiance and I and our daughter as individuals and as a family and incorporated it all into our wedding celebration.

He had our guests out on the dance floor all night, whether they were dancing or playing games, they were having a great time. I had so many guests tell me that they have never had so much fun at a wedding ever! Jeff has my highest recommendation. He truly made our wedding what it was. And it was fabulous! Thanks Jeff!! We are so glad that we booked DJ Jeff Haymaker for our wedding. Giving him the MC duties was the best decision ever. First off, Jeff single-handedly managed the timing with the kitchen, the bar, the wedding planner, and the guests when we were running late after pictures. Because of Jeff's throuough process for pre-interview questions for us and with our face to face meeting with him a year prior to the event, we got to know him and had the total confidence to pass total control over to him when the time came. Let me tell you, he literally ran the show for us - and made our day much more enjoyable as we were able to sit back and have fun.

That is only the beginning though! One of Jeff's finest attributes is to judge the crowd, and adapt. When people are crying, he will make them laugh. If they are getting bored, he'll have something to get everyone's attention. After the speeches, we played a couple different games - but the best by all accounts was the 'Survivor' game. It involves someone from each table peforming a series of tasks with one person eliminated each round. I won't ruin the final round, but let me tell you by the end of this game everyone was laughing so hard and it definitely got everyone's spirits up and got them ready to dance! Then come dance time, Jeff sets out a chest of different hats for guest to wear - we had the two grandmas up and dancing with cheeseburger and hot dog styrofoam hats on! I've never seen one grandma dance in my whole life, nevermind two! I could not beleive it, but 90% of our guests were on the dance floor all night!

We highly recommend Jeff. Right from the get go he stated he was very excited to be part of our big day. Our guests (and our) feedback shows. All of our guests did call our event the wedding of the century. It was totally to the whole entertainment Jeff provides as a DJ and MC. We can honestly say we do not wish our big day went any other way. I'd like to thank Jeff again for the great memories, as they will definitely last a lifetime.

Planning a wedding from out of town is never the easiest thing to do, but I think we surrounded ourselves in the best the Okanagan has to offer, and the result was amazing.

The night of our wedding we were blown away. He made the evening fun right from the start and kept it going till the last dance.

During the evening, our guests would come to us and ask " Who is he related to?" He was so personable, people thought he was part of the family.

It has been 3 weeks since our wedding, and we are still having people comment, they haven't had that much fun at a wedding in a long time.

Having attended a wedding DJ Haymaker performed at we knew we were getting a top end entertainer however we were pleasantly surprised that we got so much more.

During the planning stages DJ Haymaker was readily available and took much of the stress out of the process by offering exceptional guidance and through his experience provided a number of suggestions that in the end made our big day even better. The ceremony was beautifully done offering a classy atmosphere with a pinch of fun, which was exactly what we wanted! The most telling thing about DJ Haymaker's ceremony performance is that, like a good referee you did not notice he was there because the music flowed so well.

As for the reception the resounding feedback we received following the wedding is that it was the ‘funnest’ wedding our guests have ever attended and we could not agree more! DJ Haymaker was a big part of making the night so fun. He kept guests engaged with an array of games from Survivor to The Newlywed Game that got guests on their feet and not wanting to miss a moment. With all the fun and entertainment aside what really made DJ Haymaker a great DJ and MC for the evening was how well he created the atmosphere we discussed leading up to the wedding.

It was everything we had hoped for and couldn't imagine a better performance on DJ Haymaker's part.

Our experience with DJ Haymaker started the moment we found out that we were going to have him DJ our wedding.

We met with him soon after we heard the great news, and so the planning began! DJ Haymaker came to us with an open and creative mind, dedicated to creating the perfect day for us. He wanted to get to know us, and to help us; he was there for us as more than just a DJ.

When the big day finally came, we knew that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. DJ Haymaker did more for us than we could ever ask for. His flexibility and mobility allowed us to have music in our remote ceremony location (3 hours away!!), and also a great set up for our reception.

Jeff created a flow for our ceremony, and then took control of the crowd at our reception and really made every lasting memory that much more amazing. His knowledge of music really provided the backbone to the party that we were hoping for. He was able to read the crowd and play the right music for the right moments. At the end of the day, we would not hesitate for a second to recommend DJ Haymaker for any event!

Jeff, I have to tell you that each and every person I spoke to both that night as well as those I'm connecting with since have all told me the same thing - our wedding was by FAR the best wedding that they have EVER attended! Jacob's grandfather on his dads side hasn't spoken more than 15 words to me in the last 5 years and I almost fell off my chair when he came up and told me that our wedding kicked ass and that his experience at weddings in the future will forever pale in comparison to ours....

We knew that you were gonna bring the roof down but we didn't expect what you brought to our wedding day.... so from the bottom of my toes to the tip of my nose, I say THANK YOU for making our special day so much better!!!

We got married in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico in March 2011 and wanted to have a reception on our return to Kelowna. Since we were already married.. we were totally focused on just having a GREAT PARTY with our family and friends that weren't with us in Mexico. I (Sarah) started my search online looking for the perfect DJ for our party. When I approached my soon-to-be husband with the name DJ Haymaker, I was shocked when he told ME that the same DJ was recommended to him by a friend. PERFECT.

When we first met with Jeff to discuss our vision, we were thrilled with his enthusiasm, positive energy, his great suggestions, and his flexibility. Jeff was our MC at our reception/party and had such great energy the entire night. He totally understood our vision for the evening and executed it perfectly. It was far beyond our expectations. It was so great that we didn't have to worry about a single thing the entire night.

Jeff suggested some games for our party and at first, I admit, I was a little leery. I had never played games at a wedding before. The games sounded fun so we went for it! We played some great games including 'Survivor' which totally engaged the crowd and got everyone ready to party! Everyone LOVED Jeff's box of hats. The games and the hats were great ice breakers and totally brought everyone together!

Jeff could totally read the crowd on the dance floor. He started the night off playing songs that were easy for everyone to dance to. At one point in the night Brent and I looked at the clock in absolute disbelief... it was 1:30 am and the dance floor was PACKED with people that were GIVING 'ER! It was great! (And thanks for being so patient with my mom and her many requests!! Hahaha!)

We had such a great time and so did our guests. We will never forget that special night! (We still talk about it!) Thank you so very much!

From Aaron’s first phone call to you and my first meeting with you we knew you had to be a part of our wedding and your promise to make it ‘the best wedding ever,’ did not disappoint. From start to finish you were there to answer any and all questions I had regarding the wedding, music and DJ related or not.

Every time I even started to think we hadn’t touched base and should there was an email in my inbox with another simple question. You were invaluable with planning the timeline and assisting of emcee for the evening.

I felt relaxed and comfortable the entire day of the wedding knowing that things were just going to happen and trusted you entirely to make them happen. The music and mics at the ceremony we perfect, while the games at the reception were wonderful and got everyone ready to party.

Oh, and the videos are priceless! Comments from friends have included; ‘Where did you find him? He was awesome’ and ‘My stomach hurts from laughing so much!’

I don’t think the dance floor ever cleared out from start to finish. You read the crowd really well but still managed to play songs that we wanted to hear, as obscure as some of them may have been.

For ourselves, our families and friends, you were worth every penny! We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. We I would recommend you to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding or event.

Having been a bartender for years I know the value of a good party! I've heard the good, bad, and ugly when it comes to DJs... and then I've heard DJ Haymaker. He falls into into a category all of his own - SUPERB! Over the course of a year I heard DJ Haymaker entertaining guests every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at weddings and Christmas parties at the Harvest Golf Club where I tended bar. You would think after so many nights of hearing the same DJ that I would get bored - not the case! Without fail, every party-goer who came to my bar loved him... it's definitely thanks to him that I had to work so many late nights - people just wouldn't go home when he was there.

When I got engaged I knew I needed Jeff Hay aka DJ Haymaker to DJ my wedding. I wanted the biggest, best, and most spectacular wedding around and knew that Jeff was the guy to make it happen. I can be difficult to work with - I want what I want when I want it. Jeff was instrumental in making everything I wanted happen. From meeting with us to plan everything, sourcing some difficult to find songs for our ceremony, working out last-minute details and basically acting as DJ-meets-wedding-planner, Jeff was nothing short of amazing!!

We had a very diverse crowd of people - from age 19 - 90. Jeff made sure that everyone had a great time - when it looked like people were about to leave, Jeff would do some quick thinking DJ Magic and play a song to get them all back up on the floor again. Our party raged on all night thanks to Jeff! He made sure people stayed hyped up and ready to party.

Everyone at the wedding commented that Jeff was worth his weight in gold. Even my 90 year old grandfather thought the games and activities were fun! Yes, games at a wedding!! It was a great ice breaker and allowed everyone to let loose in preparation to get their party on! I would not hesitate to recommend DJ Haymaker for whatever event you may be having.

We want to let you know what a great help you have been to Ryan and myself, from the initial planning right up to the day of our wedding. We booked you before anything else and the help you provided to us about other aspects of the wedding (photographer and venue, etc.) were crucial in making our wedding as great as it was.

We were very excited to have DJ Haymaker at my daughter's wedding.

We had experienced Jeff in action at other events and knew the energy he could put into an evening. We were not disappointed.

The first time I met Jeff I just had the girls with me. Right off the bat I loved his energy, all of his ideas, willingness to help and especially his personality! I knew right away, he was the guy for Rob and I to have on our special day. The weeks leading up to the wedding, as per normal, were a tad stressful- a HUGE thank you to Jeff for helping me with that. Getting the time line and introductions/bios all figured out was a blast.

I must say I was all for the, what did we call them Jeff, "ice breakers" (games), from the beginning....Rob, not so much. He didn't want our special day to turn into, in his words, a circus. Boy was he (and I was too) pleasantly surprised! The games were all enjoyable and they were all huge hits, a great way for both sides to interact and get to know each other

Everything from the start of the ceremony to the end of the evening was PERFECT! full of energy and I must say a packed dance floor ALL night (which was our goal). The only complaint I had that day was that it had to come to an end. It is just awesome to hear people still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding... and " wow, where did you find that DJ, he was AWESOME! ".

So wow. What can I say. I can't believe the big day has come and gone already. After meeting you in person an entire year in advance I never thought the day would actually come.

At our first meeting you were such a joy to talk to and bounce ideas off. Trenton and I were both so happy and excited to work with you, we just had to wait such a long time.

Then when the big day finally came we were both so so happy with the way everything turned out. Everything you suggested was a great idea and everyone was so shocked at the amazing job you did. I have never been to a wedding with so much laughter, excitement and energy the entire night. Everyone was out of their seat and having the best time ever if they knew people or not. The night was exactly what Trenton and I dreamed of.

You are so easy to approach and talk to and I think everyone go that impression and it felt like you were completely a part of the family which was phenomenal. I got so many complements throughout the night about how amazing you were. Everyone was completely shocked and amazed. I still to this day can't believe how good you are with names and how well you read everyone. It truly felt like you knew all of us for years not a few hours.

Thank you so much Jeff. It's has been an honor to meet and work with you and I can't imagine our day without you in it. You played such a huge role and I don't have a single complaint. Everything you did was above and beyond.......it was absolutely Perfect!!!
