Wow Jeff! We have wonderful memories from our wedding… it truly was an amazing celebration at an amazing venue and you were very much a part of making our celebration what it was. Because you had been to other weddings at the Pinnacle Lodge, you were also able to give us some great suggestions about what works well at this Lodge. We had been "sitting on the fence" if we were going to hire a DJ but we checked out your website and realized that you do so much more than just play music to dance to! Before our weddding we read on your website that many other couples heard from their guests that they had "the best wedding ever". We were curious what our feedback would be and that is exactly what we heard… "yours was the coolest wedding we have ever been to… we loved the Pinnacle and that DJ was amazing"…. "I couldn't believe it when we found out that Jeff wasn't related to you… he was so personable it was like he has known you for a long time"… "he kept the evening moving along… we had so much fun!"… "I took his business card to recommend him to my friend for her wedding". I remember telling you before the wedding that we had no idea how many of our guests you would actually be able to get on the dance floor and not to expect too much (many of them had never danced to a beat of music in their life!) Wow… I think pretty much everybody was up there having fun. It was a blast!

One of the things that we appreciate most about you Jeff was that you kept the reception moving and balanced between dinner, mingling, fun and games and speeches. We were totally relaxed about what was going to happen next and felt very confident that you would know what to do and when to do it. That freed us up to have fun with our guests. You are very gifted at what you do… the games, music, MC'ing all seems effortless and natural and that is the difference between being gifted as opposed to just doing a job. After we initially met with you to see what you had to offer us, both Ted and I were impressed that it was important to you to learn about who we are and what we wanted our wedding celebration to be about. There is nothing "cookie cutter" or "one package fits all" about you Jeff… you personalize and customize what you have to offer to every individual couple. Because you made it a priority to get to know us and what we wanted for our wedding, we were totally relaxed with the games like Survivor and the Shoe Game and table tasks for us to kiss that they would all be fun and exciting but fit with our values and comfort level of our guests.

We also want to say thanks for going the extra mile and finding us a digital projector and formatting out quiz. During the busiest times of wedding planning you would email or call to check in and remind us to take care of each other…. wise and timely words. You are a one of a kind DJ Jeff… it is obvious that you love what you do and making a difference is important to you. Wow, what a wedding. First of all thank you Jeff for all of the hard work that you put into our wedding. Our wedding was planned within 2 months and we definately could not have done it without Jeff. From the begining we could see that Jeff was the right person to not only be our DJ but also to be our MC. Jeff was incredibly organized,laid back and was absolutely appropriate and professional throughout the entire planning stages of our wedding reception. His ideas were one of a kind that fit with our vision of a unique wedding that would be fun and exciting for any age group. We met with Jeff in person and over the phone to plan our wedding. He was always very eager and motivated to listen, provide input and give us direction during the entire wedding planning stage. The whole time my wife and I would be looking at eachother and saying "wow this guy really cares about our wedding". The effort that Jeff put into knowing us as individuals and as a couple will never be forgotten. I have worked with few people like Jeff who were as patient and calm through busy and sometimes crazy times.

During the day of our wedding Jeff made the extra effort and came to our wedding ceremony. It was nice to see him there spending the time to introduce himself to our families and to understand who Steve and Sarah were. Our reception was incredible and Jeff was absolutely amazing. Jeff kept the crowd entertained throughout the entire process. Some of the highlights were definately survivor, the hats and wigs, and of course the wide variety of music that he provided. During the reception Jeff made himself available to us at all times and would check in with us to make sure everything was going well. Following our wedding, we received some really good feedback about our wedding and especially our DJ and MC Jeff.

Almost 6 months later people still talk about our wedding as the best and unique they had ever been too. Sarah's grandmother who is in her eighties still comments how she has been to many wedding and our stands out as the best. This could not have been accomplished without the hard work and professionalism brought by Jeff. I would not hesitate to hire Jeff for any function where fun is your main goal. Thank you Jeff for bringing something new to the wedding world and into our lives.

We were overwhelmed with planning and details, but your dedication to our day took so much of that stress off of us. Your suggestions for all those extras that we never would have thought of, and your guidance throughout the months before, and on the day of the wedding made it EPIC, memorable, and SO FUN for us and our family and friends. So many of our guests told us that they had never been to such a fun wedding, and we give you full credit for that! The survivor game was definitely a highlight, as were the “tasks” (so much more fun than glass clinking!), the 80’s sitcom themes that you must have searched long and hard for, and the shoe game.

How can we put into words how much we appreciate your attention to detail, your patient help with planning, and all that you did to make our evening so magical? The best part was that it wasn’t only magical for us, it was for our guests, as well. Tyler, our 8 year old, was thrilled to be your “light coordinator”. Thank you for making him feel helpful and involved. Your enthusiasm and positive energy was caught up by everyone there, and will be remembered by all. You are AMAZING!!!

Hi Jeff,

Wow! What a night!

I wanted to touch base and let you know how impressed everyone (ourselves included) was with the evening. As you’ve heard many times before from others, our guests were floored with all you brought to the night. The laughter, the cheering, the camaraderie, the joking and the smiles were everything we’d hoped for. Everyone made the comments we were eager to hear, from it was ‘the best wedding we’ve attended’ to ‘it was the most fun we’ve had in a really long time’. Some even asked if we knew you were going to play all of those games and of course the most common question was ‘where did you find this guy?!’

You accomplished all of our goals for the evening by keeping everyone involved and when it came to dancing you kept the floor packed. Even my grandparents in their late eighties didn’t leave the dance floor and stayed until closing! They were so tickled by their inclusion in the Shoe Game. All of our friends and relatives who were visiting said it was the most fantastic time with never a dull moment. We didn’t have any guests leave until the bitter end even though some said they are usually in bed by 10pm! One of the guys is even considering lap dancing lessons after failing his 20 second task!

Your ability to read a crowd and play off the energy in a room is uncanny and makes you and your services invaluable to any couple planning their wedding. After seeing you in action at other events we had really high expectations and were the tiniest bit concerned that we may have already seen it all, but we left with those expectations fulfilled to the utmost. We saw people doing things and saying things we didn’t think we’d ever see or hear which made the night even more memorable and fun in everyone’s eyes. We were also assured that no two DJ Haymaker experiences are the same!

Our guests didn’t know what hit them, but they loved every minute of it. I can’t wait to get some of the pictures back of the hats and costumes and when I do I’ll be sure to forward them along. Thanks for making the night perfect, flawless and worry free and creating amazing memories for everyone present.

Hopefully you’re still doing this when our 50th anniversary rolls around!

We just got back from our honeymoon this morning. We highly recommend Kauai if you are ever looking for a hot get away.

Thanks for being a wealth of information in planning fun entertainment for the reception. We also appreciated your input for the day’s schedule order and timing. Having someone’s suggestions and opinions that has spent many a night at a reception was great.

Thanks also for doing such a great job DJing our wedding. We were very pleased that the ceremony went so smoothly even though it was your first run through. The rest of us got some practise the night before so we knew what was happening, but you did an excellent job at fitting the music in as we wanted without any practise. We were also happy with the microphones and sound system for the ceremony. As you know we were a little nervous about how well everyone would be able to hear since we had been to many outdoor weddings where only the front row could hear the vows, but everyone said they could hear perfectly at our ceremony, which was super important to us.

We got great comments back from many of our guests on how fun the reception was. Many thought it was the best wedding they had been to and many people asked about contact information for you for future events. Survivor was of course a huge favourite. Even the guests we thought would not be very keen on the interactive games were totally into it. Husbands were emptying out wives purses on the tables to be ready for the next request. We also really enjoyed the shoe game. It was an easy interactive game that didn’t put anyone on the spot and was a lot of laughs. The hats for the dance floor were also a lot of fun. We expect there will be some great photos from the dance floor and we think the hats, although simple, did a lot to keep people having a good time and therefore staying on the dance floor.

DJ Haymaker WOW! He is an excellent guy. He truly did make our wedding something to remember. He even was able to help us out last minute. As we were going to have live music for at the actual wedding, but last minute she was not able to make it. We frantically emailed Jeff and even thou he had other personal family things going on he was able to make it. We greatly thank him for this.

After the wedding and into the reception he sure kept the excitement of the day rolling. As he is not just a DJ, Jeff is an entertainer. He went around and introduced him self to our guest and got to know them a bit. This way he got a feel for the room and what they would like. He took this information from our guests and made it into a night they and us will never forget. One of his ways to keep the excitement going is his tickle trunk and games. I could not believe how much fun they could be. His tickle trunk is full of hats, I think the kids small and big at the reception definitely had a blast with wearing his hats. And the games, Survivor oh my goodness I have never seen some of my relative move like that before. They got right in to it and had a blast. Instead of clinking of the glasses the "tasks" were also a great and unique way to involve our guests in a special moment for us. And the shoe game it was lots of fun and got to see how well the three couples knew each other.

Jeff is an amazing guy. No matter what he kept the night going. If he put on a song and no one got up then off that song went and on went another one. He really played to our guests and made it a memorable day for everyone. Our guests were so impressed with Jeff we had many questions like "is he a friend he seems to know you so well", and "where did you find this guy". He truly is an amazing find, and for this I must thank Kia a co-worker she went to a wedding he did and could not stop talking about him for three days and now I definitely know why.

So Jeff Thank you so much for making our wedding so special and unique. You truly have a gift. Also thanks to Jeff's family for sharing this amazing man with the rest of us.

WOW! Most amazing service! Jeremy and I had a small ceremony (38 ppl). We found Jeff's DJ service after some research and were plesantly surprised how helpful he was in preparation to our wedding, well let me tell you, we went from pleasently surprised to absolutely amazed. We invited a spread of guests from Kelowna to Calgary to Toronto, and no one present could believe how much fun our wedding was. Everyones comments were, "Wow, where did you find that DJ, he absolutely MADE your wedding reception," and "Funnest wedding we have ever been to, and where did you find that DJ, he is amazing". Jeff has a Survivor game that is a must at everyones wedding, I have the best pictures from it. Everyone was so involved and having such a riot that by the time it was last call me and my husband had noticed that all of our guest were still "tearing up the dancefloor" including my 66yr old mother with Jeremy's 80yr old Grandmother. Not one guest had left yet. Jeff was so phenomenal from the planning before hand to the last dance that we had, not one dull moment. Jeff really took the stress out of that day for us so we could just relax and enjoy.

Just recently on September 9th, 2006 I finally married the love of my life. I have my own flourishing catering company here in Calgary. Because I have spent my whole life in the Food Service industry both here in North America and in Europe my wife was really concerned that I would cater my own wedding. “But Honey, it would be a wedding you would never forget.” No it didn’t work. So needless to say she moved it so far away from Calgary that I was forced to enjoy it. Smart girl!

We did a lot of research of the locals that we wanted to work with and one of which was Jeff Hay. We made a connection with him straight away. I was taken by his level of professionalism and his personality. He took his responsibility to a new level, one of which I was unaccustomed to. He specifically had interactive games lined up that flowed seamlessly through the wonderful four course meal we all enjoyed. He took control of the evening’s entertainment and still is the highlight that everyone is still taking about and remembers. He is the man, the music, and it still remains our night to remember.

Wow! What a great guy, I cannot stress enough just how much of the reception was a success thanks to his energy and enthusiasm, even my aunt who is always serious was up having a good laugh when I looked in her direction.
DH and I were on the fence about hiring a DJ to begin with – our families are not usually dancers and we were afraid that they would call it an early night, but he was able to keep things going until 11pm when DH and I left. He provided more than just music, even not knowing us personally he did our mc services for us and kept the reception moving on track and on time, he had dinner with us two nights prior to the reception and was very in tune with us and what we wanted from the night – after only 2 hours he picked up on exactly who we were.
He was very easy to communicate with and made the planning process so easy with the wedding planning forms that we were sent (the reception planner, suggestions for songs, quizzes to give to family and friends so they earn their dinner, and he wanted to know what we liked / disliked about other weddings)
The highlight of the evening had to be: Wedding Survivor! It’s a great way for people to get to know each other at the tables, create spirit and noise, and win the coveted trophy.

Hey Jeff!!!

Wow, what a great day and night we had. The time just flew by and everyone gave the best responses for a job very well done. Most people at the wedding assumed that you were either a long time friend or even a family member. You did such a good job keeping everyone entertained throughout the night...I had so many people tell me that it was the most fun they'd ever had at a wedding. It was one big Party!!! The way you kept the games organized and short enough so that people were still eating and watching was great. You have a great knack for timing! Even though we were ready, I was so surprised that there was no clinking on the glasses going on, but as one of my close friends pointed out that's what people do when they are bored..for quick entertainment, but there was none of that needed as you had everyone in stitches.

The Survivor game was soooo entertaining, a big hit with everyone. I know this will sound funny, but a lot of our guests are smokers, and not one of them were outside during the Survivor game...that's a great feat in itself! I'm so very happy with the whole day, everything went along great and I never once worried about anything that whole night! You were a great support to Jason and I and really made our whole wedding a great sucess!!

We have made a great new friend in Canada. I have to say that there is no other DJ that I have ever seen or heard about, that has such a high degree of creativeness, understanding and sensitivity of crowds and the ability to make a wedding reception memorable. From the US, my fiancé and I had to do all our planning for our Kelowna wedding via phone and email. We had great conversations with Jeff about what we wanted and didn’t want at our reception. In the midst of all the stress, Jeff was an extremely calming and reassuring factor that everything was going to be great at not just our reception but the whole weekend. ( In my opinion, he is better than most wedding coordinators.)

Jeff went above and beyond any definition of the term “DJ” on our wedding day. He went out of his way to run around town finding a projector for us (because we couldn’t find one for our picture presentation.) He made sure that the guests arriving at the reception were not getting restless while we were taking pictures. He was able to take the planning sheets (that we gave to him that morning...oops sorry again) and orchestrate the introductions, shoe game, survivor and anniversary dance as if we had practiced it before. I was fearing that the diversity of the crowd, some ultra conservative and some very gregarious, would not mix so well, but Jeff made it work and it was outstanding. By the way, my Dad is a nuclear physicist and he had a blast with the games. No joke. Tell that to the fearful ones! The outcome of the reception was exactly what we wanted. Everyone had a truly fabulous time and they experienced something new and very unique! It is certainly something I couldn’t have predicted or imaged, but it was FUN! We are trying to import him down to the US to help get rid of the cookie cutter receptions.

Hi Jeff,

I don't know if I every actually said this but I wanted to say thank you so much for the amazing evening that you gave us at our wedding! We sat down and wrote a little something on the weekend -hopefully my spelling and grammar aren't too bad.

Many couples look tired and somewhat bored at their receptions (or at least that's what all our guest were telling us) but our guests noted how much fun, we as the bride and groom, were having. We as a couple got to really enjoy our guests as we joined them in the many games, like Survivor and the Shoe game. The kissing game that Jeff started up really broke the ice for a lot of people, and introduced everyone to 'what a great night' we had planned out for them.

One of our favourite memories is one of the first dances. Jeff had all the couples come on to the dance. Then for music he played various well known songs that had specific dance moves to them. So picture this, everyone on the dance floor dancing "cliche" moves, and wearing funny HATS!!!! It was really great seeing one of the grandmothers up there dancing away while wearing a mullet wig!

Jeff's experience in the wedding field made planning of the reception, and even finding a pastor for the ceremony, a lot easier. One of the best parts about Jeff as MC and hosting our reception was that he took the time to get to know our guest and was able to remember names quickly. It really surprised our guests and made the evening a bit more personal for them.

It was a GREAT EVENING!!!!!!

Jeff made planning our wedding day relaxing, easy and fun. He acted as both DJ and MC for us, which meant we had a professional taking on the stress (though he never showed it!), and allowed all of our friends and family to sit back, relax and enjoy. From the beginning, when we didn't know where to start, Jeff had great ideas and was always available to chat, calm, encourage and cheer. We are so grateful to have met him!

Jeff was our guy from day one, and has since become our friend. After a few phone discussions, we knew that helping us to have the "Best Wedding Ever" was as important to Jeff as it was to us. His professionalism and pride in the work he does impressed us from start to finish.

While we were planning, Jeff made excellent suggestions regarding music, schedule, format, etc., taking who we are and what we like as maot important in his planning with us. He walked us through the whole thing from the ceremony to the wee hours! The games like Survivor, the Shoe Game, Under/Over, musical themes for each table and the Bride/Groom Quiz for each table allowed the guests to really participate and have fun, to be a real part of the whole celebration. Jeff did make our wedding the "Best Day Ever", for us and for our families and friends.We wouldn't have changed a thing.

We just came back from a movie with our friends, and all they could talk about was the amazing DJ JEFF from our wedding last weekend, and we couldn’t agree more. Jeff was the instrumental backbone of our entire event, from coordinating the timing of the day, setting up the music for the ceremony and reception, introducing the wedding party and all the hilarious games we played. He even helped us by editing our ceremony song to the timing that we had arranged! His guidance and expertise really made us feel at ease, and our whole wedding day was so smooth and worry free…all we had left to do was party!

Jeff shared many e-mails and phone calls with us in the months leading up to the event to ensure that things would happen just as we wanted, and with his vast experience, he was able to give us honest feedback about what tends to work and not work, which was great, since we’ve never planned a wedding before. Jeff’s personal service and friendly demeanor had everyone asking what part of the family he belonged to! He even remembered the names of many of the guests, and incorporated them into all the events and dancing, really getting everyone involved, which truly shows his care and consideration for the people he’s working with. Whether it’s playing the right song at the right time, or throwing a game in here of there (we HIGHLY recommend Survivor and the Shoe Game!), Jeff truly understands all the implicit cues and flow of energy to harness all the love and vibes to orchestrate an inclusive, immensely enjoyable event for everyone. And, perhaps the best vote of confidence was the Father-in-law who wanted us to hire a friend to play CD’s for a few hundred bucks vs. pay Jeff for all his services…He came up to us after the wedding saying that he was so glad that we hired such a professional, and that he was worth every cent….and this was just based on the reception, not even considering all the time he’d spent with us prior to the event!

We are so happy with how our wedding turned out, and we keep getting phone calls and e-mails about the amazing time people had, and how it was the best wedding they’d ever attended. We had to literally kick people off the dance floor in the early morning hours. With all the stress and planning that goes into such an event, it was such a relief to find someone so wonderful at what they do to trust to make the best day in your life not only unforgettable to you, but to every single person who attends. Most of all, Jeff is truly a kind and authentic person that genuinely gets personal satisfaction out of working with people and doing a great job. You rock, Jeff!

If you want a wedding that everyone will talk about for years to come and that they will compare to other weddings then go to Jeff Hay aka DJ Haymaker as he is the guy to get.

From the beginning stages of planning our entertainment, DJ Haymaker was an absolute delight and very accommodating. He was well prepared and asked the questions to help our wedding be extra special. We both were blown away how prepared he was!!

On our special day, he provided the music during the ceremony and at our reception. During the ceremony he helped everything flow very smoothly. At the reception, it was the most fun we had ever had. His hat collection will get everyone in the mood for fun! Survivor and his dinner table tasks/quizzes is a must!! The games that were played involved all of our guests and kept them entertained whether they were waiting to get food or just having a great time. We first heard about Jeff from another wedding DJ in Kelowna that could no longer do our wedding - we are still thanking our lucky stars that we found him!!!!! After booking Jeff for our wedding a year in advance we were fortunate enough to attend two weddings that he did for friends of ours prior to our big date - we were soo impressed with the way he could read the different crowds and make everyone comfortable. Nearly two weeks after our wedding everyone is still talking about how amazing the night was and how great our DJ was. No one believed us when we said that he was not a close family friend of ours - Jeff is amazing at remembering names and facts about wedding guests - he is truly
talented at what he does.

Some of the highlights of our wedding were the survivor game, the glass clinking, the hats on the dancefloor, the special Italian song that Jeff got the Father of the Groom singing into the mic for!, and the last dance where everyone danced around us as we left - it was truly more than we could have ever dreamed of and we have Jeff to thank for this.

The cost of hiring Jeff was worth every penny and we cannot emphasize enough how
wonderful Jeff was and how thankful we are that he did our wedding. Jeff's questions and forms made us think of all the details needed so everything could just flow on the big day. And he went beyond what was needed for his job. Because of his vast experience attending weddings he gave many pointers that helped us make our wedding amazing. He had suggestions for what wouldn't work and why, and he had great ideas to get us from one part of the night to the next. It was nice to be able to know that someone was there to keep it all organized and flowing. People commented that Jeff kept everyone occupied. We said we didn't want any 'dead' or 'what's going on' time, and there wasn't any. He kept everyone so busy, that after people realized they forgot to get the bride and groom to kiss.

We really wanted all ages to have a good time at our wedding. He had the children out on the dance floor having a blast. He had the elderly playing games. Everyone had so much fun. Many people have said it is the best, the "funnest, the most organized wedding" they have ever attended. It wasn't just a reception, it was a great party. They absolutely loved Survivor. And the night kept going. I had attended a wedding with many of the same people present, and it had ended quite early. But Jeff had us going until the wee hours of the morning. The children dominated the dance floor for a while,
and then the adults joined them. People were asking why the bride and groom stayed so long, but it was too wonderful of a party to take off from. There were families staying until their young ones just couldn't keep their eyes open anymore.

We had a wonderful wedding and are very glad that we had heard about Jeff

As promised, here are a few words that sum up our thanks and gratitude for your dj service:

Having never planned a major event before it was incredibly helpful to lean on DJ Haymaker for some direction and have his wedding reception planning "kit" available to us. The planner got us thinking about important details such as what song to have for the first dance, what genres of music we wanted played at the reception, the important people that we may want to recognize that day, what type of speeches to have and in what order .... the list goes on. If there was one aspect of our wedding that we knew would be a huge success, it was going to be the reception. We were completely confident of this.

There were a few questions we had to answer for Jeff:(a) how much fun did we want everyone to have at our wedding (the sky is the limit with DJ Haymaker) and (b) what words would we use to describe our wedding. "Fun"..."a blast"..."the best time ever" were just a few phrases we wanted our guests to experience at our wedding.

Jeff did not disappoint.

The entire evening was so interactive! During our planning we were a little hesitant as to what type of participation we would have from our guests during the games and activities. We realize now that this was wasted energy on our part, every guest, young and old, completely embraced the activities!! This includes my 95 year old grandmother!

Everyone participated as much or as little as they wanted to. It created such great energy, enthusiasm and a real buzz of fun going into the dance portion of the evening that it was difficult not to have an awesome time. Jeff was able to maintain the energy level by reading the crowd and playing all of the right songs.

Everyone has raved about the wedding. Sure Clayton and I gave everyone a reason to gather together but Jeff made the party. A few comments we've received are things like "that was the first wedding I've been to where half the people didn't leave after the reception" or "that was the best wedding I've been
to" or simply "wow... ". A lot of people honestly did not have words to describe the event; they just thought DJ Haymaker was phenomenal.

People are still talking about it and the MC for Clayton's sister's wedding (happening next month in Saskatchewan) is now extremely nervous and is already coming up with excuses as to why he will not be as entertaining. Most of the people at our wedding will also be attending Clayton's sister's, so their MC has HUGE shoes to fill.

It was truly an event we will never forget; we had an awesome time and so did everyone else there. It was exactly what we had envisioned our wedding to be.

Hiring Jeff as our DJ and our MC was definitely one of the best decisions we made. We met Jeff a year before our wedding. As he has been part of so many weddings, we turned to him for advice and recommendations... he was just like a wedding planner! A great one too!

Jeff was also very accommodating to our special (and sometimes weird) requests for music. He listened patiently too when I'm having one of my "wedding planning panic attacks" and helped calmed me down. He told me, "Don't worry about it (the entertainment part of things), I'll take care of it." And in fact, he really did.

No words can express how grateful we are for Jeff and how he handled everything for us so professionally on the actual day. A huge thunderstorm during our ceremony and photo shoot disrupted the whole schedule for our dinner and reception (and of course caused panic for us!!!). But Jeff was there to coordinate the changes in schedule with our caterers (the Harvest) and entertain our guests while we went off to continue with our photo shoot after the rain stopped. All we kept saying then was "Thank goodness for Jeff!"

The reception was a blast!!! From the quiz, the Survivor game, the funny hats, to that mix of dance music -- everything just set the tone to exactly what we wanted it to be -- a fun wedding! A lot of our guests said that "this was the best wedding ever!" and a lot of them asked, "where did you find this guy?" The night was so fun that we already forgot about the whole thunderstorm fiasco.

Thanks Jeff, for being a big part of our wedding day. You are so good at what you do, it is just amazing...

Planning a wedding out of town was one thing I don't think I would do again, one of the most important days of our lives and I planned it on the internet, go figure! We stumbled upon many websites for DJ's and I just didn't get the feel for them. So when I found DJ Haymakers site, not only was it an awesome name! *wink wink* there were just so many great ideas on there that it gave me a good "vibe".

The first time I talked to Jeff, I was blown away, he was more excited about weddings then I was!! His passion for his work really shown through and I know we were in good hands with him. The questionnaires and the quiz that he helped us with helped us laugh at each other and relieve some pre wedding stress, it also allowed us to plan the best reception ever. The first time we had met Jeff it was the day before the wedding, and we were so stressed out, that we hadn't really enjoyed the "fun" part of getting married, after our conversation was done we actually both said to each other how excited we now were about the wedding, thanks Jeff!! All of my guests were really impressed at the gem we had found in Kelowna. Our parents were so impressed he had remembered their names and it wasn't just father of the bride, or mother of the groom, and so on. Our two last guests said it was just so amazing that he just kept playing songs for them,
and how he was so personal. They're getting married in 2008 and if only he lived in Winnipeg!

Everyone has commented on "our" dj friend. We actually went to a wedding two weeks after we got back and the DJ was TERRIBLE.. like no comparison. You are definitely gifted in this field, and as I am part of Kenny's wedding party, I am struggling to figure out what we will do for a DJ for him since it will be a 250 person wedding, and DJ's here in Winnipeg just are not up to the quality we got from you. Part of what makes you great is that I think your someone that Erin and I would have loved to spend more time with and are a really likable person!

What can I say about Jeff...He's the man!! You will not find a better DJ, not even close!

And having said that, he is so much more than just a DJ...he will go out of his way to ensure that every aspect of your day is one you and your guests will thoroughly enjoy and not be able to stop talking about, and he's not just about the reception and dance, he wants every aspect of the day to be a success. We are from Edmonton and I had people saying "Man if only there was a DJ like that here..." but sure enough there isn't!

We are so thankful we found him. Jeff is a rare, unique find and he really made our day complete. From the pre planning and editing of a few of our songs, including the song I walked down the aisle to which he tweaked multiple times until it was perfectly timed, to being just hilarious to talk to and keeping things light when they could have gone stressful, he was just a delight to have involved in our day. And like everyone as said already, he made our reception a blast, I knew he would and he totally came through!

And it really feels like he's your best friend after, both my husband and I said more than once on the honeymoon "man, we're gonna miss Jeff! It feels like he was such a big part of our lives for awhile!" So of course I recommend this guy, who wouldn't?! He will totally pull through no matter what the circumstance. I first became acquainted with Jeff Hay through his website. I was impressed by the number of
testimonials he had posted and also with the amount of information he provided regarding his services. When I spoke with him for the first time I knew this was the guy I wanted to DJ our wedding because he was way more concerned with what kind of an evening WE wanted rather than trying to foist his own ideas onto us - I knew this was not going to be "cookie-cutter" entertainment just like every other wedding reception - it was going to be tailored to our specific vision.

Jeff constantly asked what kind of an event we were planning so that he could suit that vision - he wanted to know what kind of words we wanted our guests to use when describing our wedding celebration in the months following the event - dynamic, fun, elegent, energetic, memorable, classy, etc. I told him I wanted ALL those words to be in the forefront of our guest's memories and now, more than a month later, those words are all being echoed by our friends and family.

Jeff had great ideas for games and special dances, table names and quizzes that kept our guests laughing and involved throughout the entire evening. Although everyone got a little nervous when he announced that we were going to play a few games his entheusiastic explanations and great props soon had everyone joining in the fun with unbridled (and sometimes shockingly unexpected) abandon!

Our guests were a mixed group ranging in age from seven months to eighty years and there was no one who did not have a great time. The music was great and everyone was up and dancing - women were kicking off their high-heels so that their sore feet wouldn't slow them down!

Jeff's great organization prior to the wedding really helped my husband and I come up with a clear idea of what we wanted and it was his experience and professionalism that made our special night so memorable; he was available whenever we needed some help with the planning and had so many great ideas that it was easy for us to pull together the best party we'd been to....ever! We actually had people at the reception asking us for his phone number so that they could book him when they got married...even though some of them weren't even engaged yet!

Our Day! It was a wee bit different….we were married, December 9, 2005, “on the beach” at Young's Island, St. Vincent. Jeff ROCKS!! Jeff was there throughout the planning stages, the dress rehearsal, the rehearsal dinner and from the beginning to end of our wedding. He had so many great ideas while planning and wasn't hesitant about making suggestions (which we appreciated very much!), he managed to organize us all at the dress rehearsal, he spent time meeting our families at the dinner rehearsal and made sure everything went smoothly on our wedding day. Even when I managed to forget quizzes for our tables Jeff improvised and still made it fun for everyone (that was just one of the many curve balls I threw him that he managed to dodge that day). We had so many different types of people at our wedding and a lot of them had never met each other before I was quite worried how our DJ/MC was going to handle it. Jeff managed to bring them all together. We had so much fun playing the game Survivor. My mom laughed so hard while playing Survivor she removed herself from the game because she was going to wet herself (sorry mom!). Bruce and I were the only ones left at the end of the night; Jeff made it so magical by playing all these great slow love songs while the two of us danced our night away. All of the guests we've spoken to since the wedding have commented on how much fun and how great a guy Jeff is.

First of all, the planning services you provided before the wedding were simply fantastic. You were professional and thorough, yet very relaxed and FUN! We were so happy with Jeff. It was so important to have a DJ that not only knows his stuff but you can tell that Jeff genuinely cares about the people around him. He has great energy and makes everyone around him feel happy and calm. He was always available for months prior to the wedding with any questions we had and also to put our minds at ease about the big day. He had
tons of advice and was also a good listener for us to get out some of the pre-wedding anxiety about putting all of this together. He really tried to gear the party towards the type of guests attending which made it very unique and special to our group.

Although the day was almost perfect in our eyes, the unexpected happened on our wedding day (a stomach flu hit the bride, groom and many guests) and Jeff still managed to get the guests on the dance floor for hours. We had some requests that were difficult to work into the dance mix (indie and international artists) and he managed to play them all! The hats were great too as the night went on - the guests loved it. We thought he would have a rough job as our invite list was very diverse - all ages and cultures yet he brought it all together and also made us feel very special during the reception.

We would not hesitate with recommending Jeff to our friends - not just to be at an event that he was DJ ing but also because we were so amazed at how he did. As we mentioned so often - it was a tough crowd and some of our requests were obscure but he made it work. Once we got sick we were really worried that the whole thing would bomb after the first dance and that everyone would just leave but Jeff got it going - thank you!!

Steve and I were astounded at your ability to pick up on everyone's names so quickly and by your ability to make everyone feel so at home. We can't believe after meeting you for 30 short minutes on Friday the day before that you were able to MC the entire reception like you had known us for a long time. We especially appreciated how you checked in with us throughout the reception to make sure everything was going how we wanted it to. The music selections you made were terrific even without too much direction from us. Though we had some initial reservations about the Survivor game, we think it was the greatest thing ever. It was so much fun and a great way to keep the guests involved in a non-threatening, non-cheesy way. We are so glad we just trusted you on everything. No wonder you have such a great relationship with the Harvest Golf Club - we would recommend you to anyone, anytime, anywhere.

I have never had so much fun dancing as I did on our wedding night. His MCing ability is amazing. The night flowed perfect. His games got everybody in a festive mood, especially Survivor, and included everybody, even the kids. When he brought out the box of funny hats, everyone dove in! It was brilliant. Plus, on top of everything, he was always there for us to communicate with.

If we won the lottery, he would be the MC/DJ at our birthday parties, Christmas, New Years Eve...He rules.

Thank you Jeff. Your versatility and professionalism are outstanding.

When planning a wedding, there's always big promises from professionals and we sure got a lot from Jeff during our wedding planning...but he delivered and more so!

From the many consultations, planning forms, song suggestions, and party ideas....we got it all!! It was all about the little things that made our wedding unique...wedding party entrance, table names, glass clinking challenges and the famous Survivor! Yes, I was hesitant about this game but it brought the party to life! We had family and friends going crazy, including ones that we would have never picked to get involved! After Survivor, our crowd was more pumped than ever and the dance floor was rockin' all night! Add in the trunk of fun hats and the greatest music and our guests had a fabulous time. We are still getting comments about the best party ever!
So thanks Jeff, it was a blast!

I want to thank you for putting me at so much ease during the wedding and the lead up to the wedding. Having you MC/DJ the wedding was one of the best decisions Darek and I made, besides saying I do that is. HAHA. I am eternally grateful for all your suggestions and for helping us select a pastor for the wedding. He was awesome. You made time to meet with my mom and I to prep for the wedding on our schedule. You helped put us (mostly my mom) at ease with some of the tasks we needed done. You were fun, considerate, and most of all you play good music. Jeff, thanks so much for the superb job you did on Saturday night! You really made the party a great success! I'm normally not a fan of DJ music because I often find it too loud and not always fitting for the different age groups. Your presentation was really unique - a number of people commented what a great job you did as the kids had a blast and so did the adults. Everyone enjoyed the games, and young and old alike, hit the dance floor. You have an excellent way of relating to everyone and kept the evening light and fun. Sophie enjoyed planning the music with you. From the dinner music to the last song it was terrific. Everyone sure left on an upbeat! We really appreciate the time and care you took with everything. We'll know who to call when we have another event! All the best to you! Cheers!

Sophie's Bat mitzvah party was a tremendous success. Everyone had a great time - we had people there from six to mid sixties. Much of the success was due to the amazing energy of Jeff Hay. I had a very positive feeling about Jeff from the start. Sophie and I had two meetings with Jeff, an initial planning meeting to discuss ideas and the fun that could happen at the party and then a meeting closer to the event at the Rotary Arts Centre in Kelowna where we had the party. Jeff was great at getting Sophie involved in choosing the type of music and he made suggestions for games and other fun ideas such as a slide show of Sophie's life. At the party, Jeff got some games going, which involved everyone. He got all ages up dancing. Without hesitation, I would say that Jeff made the party the tremendous success that it was. Many guests came up to me at the party and spoke to me afterwards about how great Jeff was.

On our very special day, we knew that music was going to be a big part of what we would remember. Months after a wedding, no one ever says “Hey those flowers were awesome!” In reality, what they remember is the music and the atmosphere that you try and create on your wedding day.

We made this very clear to you and after a number of conversations that we had, and filling out your planning forms, you made us feel very comfortable because you put great care into the details.

On the actual day you blew us away. You were everything that you said that you would be plus more. You brought the crowd alive and kept them all dancing until 2AM. Can’t really say more other then thanks again.

I hope this does a little justice for the effort that you made on our day.

DJ Haymaker (Jeff Hay) really offers a complete package. He not only possesses the art & science of being an event MC and DJ but he’s a fun guy too!

Jeff’s extensive forms helped us define what we wanted for our ceremony and reception. His phone conversations assured me that I was in good hands. On the day of our wedding I had no worries about his part – a great gift for a stressed-out bride! Even though he had never seen our venue in a town he had never visited, I rested assured that he would get it right. He helped the ceremony and reception run smoothly and brought in an element of fun. The ‘Survivor’ game truly was a hit, my doubts proven wrong! He knows how to play to a dance floor of people with a variety of music tastes. He seamlessly moved from disco through country to rock and back to dance and house music. Tricky, to say the least. Guests were having so much fun that they demanded that the facility let us continue dancing into the wee hours of the morning! And, this was after a full day of skiing! Our #1 priority for our wedding was to host a great party. DJ Haymaker made the party! Guests have told us that it was the best wedding that they had ever attended. I attribute the bulk of this to Jeff. Thank you.
