Formality aside, I want to thank you personally for finding it in your heart to take on a small, private event like this no questions asked. Your generosity made the event. Plain and simple. It would not have been the successful night that it was without you and your energy.). A silly little letter doesn't seem like enough to thank you...

Dear Jeff,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donation of your time to our event that was held on November 13th, 2009 called A Fundraiser for a “Buddy”. This event was created to raise money for a colleague, Justin, whom is battling cancer for the second time before his 30th birthday. It was our goal to provide Justin with a portion of the costs for his upcoming treatment in the New Year. Your donation of your time and services truly made our event. The energy you provided throughout the night was contagious; many people said it was the best night out they have had in years. The event wouldn’t have had the level of success that did if it were not for you. Overall, we raised $4500.00 to go towards his treatment costs. Moreover, his family had the opportunity to see him have an amazing night surrounded by people who truly care which at the end of the day, is a priceless occasion. I continue to receive calls from his friends and family back home thanking me for this event and the opportunity for Justin to celebrate his life with the people he cares about the most. In turn, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your contribution to this event. It was, in all intents and purposes, a huge success.

BEST DJ EVER!!!!!!

Our dream wedding at Summerhill was an amazing event. Jeff not only played the best music that everyone loved, but he was the best ever MC. Our guests had two things to say about the wedding.
1. The food was wonderful and
2. Your DJ is awesome.
The night went off without a hitch and mostly because of Jeff's experience and organization. Our Guests were so excited to start dancing that in our first dance we got pushed off the dance floor because there was no more room left. Absolutely everyone danced that night. Old and Young. Jeff is so friendly and absolutely wonderful to work with. He made it his job to get to know us so that our wedding was uniquely tailored for us. My husband who is an audiophile commented that Jeff's equipment was of very high fidelity. I would agree!!

Thank you for making our wedding a memory of a lifetime.

We had an amazing reception. From the appetizers being served while big band music played, to our entrance with the Black Eyed Peas and the the music during our receiving line. Jeff set the mood of the evening and kept us in good spirits.

The week prior to the wedding Jeff took the time to meet with us and find out what we truly wanted from our reception. We told him we wanted to have a fun party with good music and a light atmosphere. Jeff managed to keep the party going and even during dinner. We loved the "Newlywed Game" and the game to get our teams into dinner service. After dinner they played the survivor game and it really brought the guests together. Tables that were next to each other but didn't know one another were laughing and talking. The hats during the dancing were great.

I would recommend DJ Haymaker to any event. He is amazing.

Jeff… WOOOOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOO! I think that about covers how we felt about Sunday night! From the beginning of the ceremony to the end of the reception it was ABSOLUTELY perfect :) Thank you for all your help in putting our wedding together!!

Lyndsay and I are from the lower mainland but spent a year planning our destination wedding in the Okanagan. We knew we wanted to have an amazing party, especially since most of our guests were coming from out of town, and we needed to find a kickass DJ who would make this party happen. We first found out about Jeff though a local DJ in Vancouver who said that if we were looking for the best of the best in the Okanagan, Jeff Hay was the guy. After browsing his website and reading all the feedback from clients, it was pretty apparent that Jeff had the reputation of a saint! When we found out Jeff was available for our wedding date, we booked him right away without hesitation.

Jeff made a huge contribution to our wedding planning in the months leading up to the big day. Numerous phone calls, emails and a meeting over coffee was just the beginning. When we first booked Jeff to be our DJ, we thought he would be just that… a DJ! However, we soon came to realize that he was SO MUCH MORE. Not only did he come up with many suggestions for the actual wedding day, he recommended florists to us, he helped us find a limo company and a marriage commissioner. He also spent a great deal of time helping us edit songs and music to be used in our big day. We liked Jeff so much that we soon decided it was not enough to just have him play DJ at our reception….so he soon became our MC as well as the sound man for our outdoor ceremony.

Our actual wedding day was amazing, thanks in large part to Jeff! When we walked into the reception, Jeff immediately had everything under control and we did not have to worry about a thing! The party atmosphere was well under way from the beginning, thanks in large part to Jeff’s awesome games. The dinner quiz, newlyweds game, and Survivor, had us and our guests in hysterics. It was amazing what some our guests would do in order to be crowned the sole survivor!

Once Jeff’s tickle trunk of hats and wigs made their appearance and the dancing was underway, it was clear that the party was still going strong. Friends and relative that don’t usually dance were cutting a rug on the dance floor, loosening their ties and walking around in some of Jeff’s crazy hats! Jeff played all the hits, including all of our requests. Our biggest disappointment was when the clock struck twelve and the reception was over. Nobody wanted to leave, not even Jeff! Sensing this, Jeff somehow managed to get permission to keep the party going for another hour, which absolutely made our night and the night of our guests.

At the end of the night, the comments I heard from our guests included: “Is the DJ a friend of yours?”, “Where did you find that guy?”, “Your DJ was FANTASTIC!”, “Will your DJ travel to the lower mainland?” and “That was the best wedding ever!”

Thank you for such an amazing night Jeff! We could not have done it without you. Don’t hesitate to book Jeff for your next event… and invite us to it!

Dear Jeff,

I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for making my Son, Robin and Daughter-in law, Lynsey's wedding perfect. You made the difference between a nice wedding and the wedding that everyone is still talking about.

Having you as the M.C. for the evening was great. You took care of absolutely everything and made sure all went smoothly. I loved all the games throughout the evening, especially the flag game and the musical chairs/Survivor game. I still smile every time I picture the wedding party coming into the reception. It was like announcing the MVP’s for the top ranking Football team.

I would definitely recommend you to anyone who wants to put together any social event. You are able to read people like no other. Thank you for making his event the talk of our families and friends. Every part of the night fit with the bride and groom so perfectly. It was like you had been friends of our families for years. You take the time to make sure the event is exactly what is needed and was enjoyed by all. Can't wait to see you at the next social event!

Jeff Hay is a wedding/party genius who is worth his weight in gold.

Jeff played a huge part in the success of our wedding; we couldn’t have had the wedding we dreamed of without him.  Three years ago we had the pleasure of attending a wedding in which Jeff was the MC and DJ, and we had a blast and couldn’t stop talking about that wedding and comparing other weddings to it. When we got engaged we knew we had to have Jeff as our MC/DJ that we were even willing to change our wedding date to get him. Luckily we were able to book Jeff and from that day which was a year before our actual wedding Jeff was there for us to help us answer questions and offer advice.

It was a big stress relief knowing we could always go to Jeff with anything wedding related. On top of his great advice and support Jeff always made sure we kept our love for one another as the most important thing and ensured we were always excited about getting married. Throughout the entire process Jeff went above and beyond for us. Although Jeff didn’t do our ceremony music he helped plan the timeline for the ceremony and the entire day. Jeff even attended our ceremony to watch us get married then went straight to setting up the reception and had everything ready to go well in advance of our reception start time.

Our wedding experience was perfect and everything we dreamed of thanks to Jeff. Our wedding reception was so organized, thought out and ran smoothly from start to finish with no awkward moments. Our guest were so involved in the games and activities that they weren’t watching the clock waiting to leave. Jeff has a way about him, that he gets everyone to participate and have fun especially with his “Survivor” game, which was the hit of the night.

At the end of the night people were asking Jeff for his business card and were commenting on how much fun they had had and that our DJ was amazing and what a great  job he did. It’s been a month since our wedding and people are still talking about it and how great Jeff was. We would recommend Jeff to anyone who wanted a well organized, fun, and memorable wedding, with Jeff you can’t go wrong.

The comments from our friends and family were all in the same as they all said this was the best wedding they had been to, and some had been to five weddings this year and not including a couple who were married themselves recently!!! When we were planning our Osoyoos wedding from our home in Vancouver, we were told about Dj Haymaker by 2 of our friends who said that they had been to a wedding in Kelowna with the best dj who used hats and games to keep the party going.  I must admit that at first i was a bit skeptic of the hats and games, but from the first e-mails with Jeff Haymaker we could tell he was a complete professional who knew exactly what he was doing.
 
Jeff maintained contact with us throughout the entire planning process and offered help and ideas to us to make the process a bit easier. My husband and i are very busy people who aren't always so "prompt" at returning e-mails, but Jeff never lost patience with us! He supplied us with a detailed form to fill out so that he would know exactly what we wanted and so that he could personalize our wedding by adding that little extra touch. He even phoned us a couple days before the wedding so that we could have a little chat about our big day.
 
Fianlly our day was here, and i could not have had more fun! Dj haymaker made our night sooo memorable! Starting right from the wedding party introductions he had everyone in hysterics, and put us all in the mood to party. Our guests were amazed that there wasn't a down moment throughout the entire reception. Before dinner we palyed a fun game to see which tables would eat first, jeff came prepared with laminated A,B,C,D cards for people to use to answer the multiple choice questions about the bride and groom. This brought our guests together and definitely broke the ice.
 
After dinner, we played was a version of the Newlyweds game, where he brought up my parents and another couple up to play with us. He read the other couples very well, and was able to joke around with them as though he had known them forever! I LOVED this game and could NOT stop laughing!
 
The last game that was played right before the dancing was the “Survivor” game. I was amazed at how everyone got involved! Our guest had to work together to help their tables win, and DJ haymaker kept everyone motivated thoughout the game. He brought out tribal headgear for the contestants and everyone really got into the tickle trunk!! I couldn't belive it! I saw a whole other side of our friends and familly that night!
 
And then the party really got going! Every song we had requested was played, and Jeff read the crowd so well that the dance floor was completly PACKED! There was literally no more room on the dance floor. We danced and danced and danced! Even the people who "don't dance" were dancing. Dj Haymaker has an incredible talent for reading the crowd and getting everyone going... i heard people saying that he was born to do this; i couldn't agree more!
 
Jeff kept the party going as long as people were wanting to party. Even though he had a long drive home after the wedding he never made us feel like we were on a timeline. He stayed to the end and even offered to drive us home!!! We had told him that we wanted people to leave our wedding saying that it was "the best wedding ever". He definitly made this happen, as people are still talking about it.
 
Thank you Jeff, you really made our day! I've had so many people ask for your name and info, and wanting you to travel all over the place; Whistler, Vancouver, even Mexico! You provided a fun, personal, over the top service and we were so lucky to have you at our event. You blended in perfectly and created a one of a kind party.

You really made the night more special then you know. I would recommend you to anyone who would listen!!

Hi Jeff,

We had a wonderful time at Aimee & Oliver’s wedding! Yes it was a fun group but my night was made when all those crazy hats came out! I loved it; it was a great ice-breaker & everybody had such fun with them. ( and they made FABULOUS pictures!). What a great idea! Once people were on their feet laughing about the hats, they stayed put for the dancing; even ‘I’ danced which I haven’t done since knee surgery several years ago... You have a very good variety of music for young & old(er) & we had a really fun time.

Normally I cringe at the thought of ‘games’ but we totally enjoyed them, they contributed to the fun atmosphere. Everyone we spoke to said they had a wonderful time.

Jeff you are excellent at your job & you helped make this wedding even more memorable. Thank you!

We found DJ Haymaker through an internet search for "Okanagan DJ".  After calling around to 3 other companies whom were less than impressive, I got to speak directly to DJ Haymaker.  After 45 minutes on the phone, I asked him if he was available for our wedding on September 5th, 2009  at the
Summerland Waterfront Resort and he confirmed he was. We later found out that DJ Haymaker comes so well recommended that people book their wedding around his available dates!  My fiancée and I met with Jeff in Kelowna about 6 months prior to the actual wedding date and we both immediately had peace of mind with our choice and knew he was the perfect DJ for our ceremony and
reception. Immediately you could tell that he is talented, loves his job, but more importantly you could tell he wanted our event to be perfect for us and memorable for all our guests.

Fast forward to the wedding day, we had some unexpected and unforecast rain. Without hesitation Jeff jumped into action and helped reorganize the entrance to the ceremony and coordinated with the resort to ensure that everything went off perfectly.  He was our wedding coordinator, MC and DJ all in one!

Since the wedding day, the common feedback we've received from guests is "best wedding ever", "most fun I've ever had", "best party I've been to in Canada", "I used to hate Survivor", "I've never danced so much in my life". Some guests have asked me for DJ Haymakers contact information to retain him for their own functions!  Our guest list consisted of people ranging from very young to old.  They ranged from doctors, lawyers, pastors, police, teachers and labourers.  Jeff was able to find the perfect mix of music that appealed to everyone.  As MC he was phenomenal in introducing the wedding party, the bride and groom and organizing the whole evening for us, so we could relax and enjoy our time as husband and wife. Jeff organized a game called "Survivor".  We are not normally fans of wedding games.  In fact, most of them we find to be mundane and repetitive and boring. Without spoiling the event, Survivor got each and every guest involved and motivated to part - it set the mood for the rest of the evening.  I've never laughed so hard as I did at some of the things that my inconspicuous guests produced.  Jeff is very personable and friendly and has a great sense of humour that reflects in the exceptional work that he does. Jeff is tasteful, a pleasure to work with and even wore a shirt to match our wedding colors!

Jeff, those words continuously play through our minds and words can't express how amazing our night was! From the moment we had met, we knew you were the perfect person to have our musical needs fulfilled at our wedding!!

It has almost been two months, and people are still messaging and talking to us about the night and how they wished it could happen all over again.

Clayton and I can't think you enough for the incredible advice you gave us, in choosing songs that would reflect our personalities and the atmosphere! The games were a blast and had everyone on the edge of their seats, ready to rip a shirt off, just to get involved! The dance floor was on fire all night!!

When we first started planning our wedding, we knew there was only one DJ in Kelowna who could really make our wedding spectacular. We both worked in the hotel industry (Manteo Resort) and had seen many weddings and many DJ's so for us the decision was simple, we knew we had to have Jeff. DJ HayMaker is the undoubtedly the best DJ in Kelowna and so we knew that no matter what else happened with the wedding, our dance would be perfect!

Right from the beginning, Jeff was eager to help us with the planning including all those little details that we hadn't even thought about. While it was clear he would be doing many weddings over the summer, he was nevertheless always available and always eager to help us with any questions we had. Our ceremony took place outside and thanks to Jeff we not only had beautiful music played at exactly the right moments, but the sound and microphones he set up were perfect, allowing our guests to truly enjoy the ceremony.

Jeff took care of so many details for us and helped to make sure that transitions flowed perfectly. Jeff knew we wanted our wedding to be a fun night that our guests would not forget and that is exactly what he delivered. To really get the party going we wanted to play the survivor game with our guests. I have seen this game attempted by other DJ's but by far, Jeff does it the best. Music, hats, and interaction engaged all of our guests and drew some surprises when the most unlikely guests really embraced the games and showed us a whole new side of their personality. Throughout the evening the music was perfect. We gave Jeff a list of what not to play and a list of our favorites but in the end we realized he didn't need this list at all because his ability to read the guests and know exactly what to play was spot on.

DJ HayMaker made our wedding reception a huge success. In our history of working at Manteo, never had we seen a dance floor like ours that was packed right until the end of the night. The only thing we could ask for is to do it all over again. Thanks Jeff for making our wedding the most memorable night!

Jeff was fabulous to deal with right from day 1. During our first meeting he was excited, enthusiastic and very professional. He was ultimately interested in exactly what we wanted for our big day. The follow-up, the worksheets, the ideas and suggestions leading up to our celebration were very helpful--our music was important and he appreciated that. Who knew a DJ could be so thorough?!?!

Jeff had the crowd in stitches and rocking it out like nobody's business. We told him that we wanted our guests to say "that was the BEST wedding I have ever been to".. and you know what....we keep hearing that over and over. When he said he had "games" we were a little bit worried as we thought they may be cheezy (sorry Jeff--it's true! Lol) --they were not at all! They were amazing and he executed everything flawlessly and with a smile on every face in the crowd.

I don't know what more to say about the big day, the joy and hilarious moments.....except that my sister took off her bra during Jeff's "Survivor game", my mom had a mullet, one of the groomsmen was wearing a heavyweight champion belt and my uncle frank who walks with a cane and just had a hip replacement, did not get off the dance floor all night long.

Jeff worked closely with our MC...so closely, that in fact, we didn't even need one--he had it all going on.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Jeff and since have recommended him to anyone and everyone. He was worth every penny--we know he is more moola than the others BUT there really is no comparison. It's all about good times, good tunes, and making sure everyone has a blast. He did that and more.

Jeff was diligent in making sure he listened, took notes, and delivered what we wanted....we got married in a barn and he followed our request to not play any country! Now that is a good man! We know it just about killed him.

Thank Jeff! You made our day! Now only if I could get the dirt off the bottom of my dress from dancing on that barn floor all night long!

A week after we got engaged, my best friend told me “first and foremost – book your DJ!!!”” DJ Haymaker was highly recommended to me from a few people so I called Jeff! My excitement soon turned into disappointment when he was already booked for our wedding day. He did not hang up on us though – he said “Even if I can’t DJ at your wedding, I am going to help you get a great DJ… I will not leave you hanging!” Jeff emailed us that day a list of DJs that he considered to be the next best in town. Five phone calls later – Five other already booked DJs. Feeling a little distraught – I took Jeff up on his offer to help if we weren’t having any luck. So I called and reminded him who I was and that he was already booked but had given me a list of five other fabulous DJs to call. I told him I was calling to see who was #6 on his referral list? He asked me to repeat the date for him, his reaction: “Wow – I had a cancellation just 48 hours ago for that very date!” We were beyond thrilled – we booked Jeff and everything was taken care of as of that moment…

Jeff is not only a DJ – he is a behind the scenes’ wedding guru, planner, pro, god! Next he emailed us lists of referrals for recommendations on florists, photographers, and even wedding commissioners. We appreciated everything Jeff gave us for advice, every suggestion he made was simply that, a suggestion, he wanted to help us to create ‘our’ day. He asked us what we wanted people to say or experience at our wedding. We could only come up with one word – FUN. We wanted to have people say that it was the most FUN that they had ever had a wedding. And he delivered that is exactly what guests at our wedding said in the following days. Even 2 months later, friends and family are still talking about our FUN wedding and our AWESOME DJ!

Our favorite thing about our families getting together is that they like to have a great time and are always up for laughs and games. The Newlywed Game, Survivor and the Table Quizzes were the greatest. They broke the ice, got people laughing and having fun getting to know each other at a table – you know the table of those strays – the bride’s boss and his wife, the groom’s former co-workers from previous jobs, and the bride and groom’s stag friend – all at the same table. Hardly a few words or smiles shared until the games came out. It was awesome – especially the trunk of HATS.

Events, even weddings, never seem to go off without at least one glitch. Somehow we managed to neglect to inform Jeff of the change to one of our songs for the ceremony. So about 10 minutes before the ceremony Jeff asked Greg was there anything particular that we wanted to walk out to? Greg told him the song and checked in with Jeff a few minutes later to see if he had it. Jeff smiled and gave him the thumbs up and said “Just downloaded it on my phone”.

Everything DJ Haymaker did was so slick – Greg and I both new that he would be a great DJ – but we had no idea how AMAZING of a DJ/Wedding Planner/Coach/Entertainer/Friend that Jeff Hay is and how much more he brings to your wedding experience. His expertise is untouchable. Jeff is soooo in tune with his bride and groom that he reads every step before they are taken. He had every next move planned out and every one of his suggestions was as if he was reading our minds.

The party... the music..the games.. omg the hat trunk.. was definately loved by all... you are one hell of an amazing man...and if we were to do it all over again we would for sure get you..and would recommend you to absolutely everyone... we have already had many questions about you..for staff parties etc... We were referred to Jeff, AKA DJ Haymaker, from our venue organizer and we could not be happier. Early on we requested his DJ services and over the course of roughly twelve months we were in constant communication. Jeff delved into how we met, what we were before meeting each other, funny stories and information about the wedding party and fun facts. Through these e-mails and phone conversations he delivered an epic Wedding Day and a truly wild reception that we still receive compliments on today. It has been dubbed by family and friends as the ‘bestest wedding ever’!

We did not have a solid idea as to who our MC was going to be, so Jeff offered, being one of his services, he made it a night to remember. Through his “Survivor” game, musical chairs, fun facts questionnaires and wildly fun games, the night was never stale and always in motion. He was able to unite tables that, even through clever seating arrangements, may not have chatted at all. And of course the music, a smooth array of every genre played that night and at any time the dance floor was always moving.

We could not be happier, even we were surprised at how the night turned out, even after we thought it was planned to a “T”.

When we had decided to have our wedding in Kelowna, we checked out many different venues. At each venue, we were told that the BEST DJ to book, and the one that would GUARANTEE a great party would be DJ Haymaker. At the time we found this quite interesting that every venue would give the same recommendation.

As a couple, we determined that having a FUN and ENTERTAINING wedding was at the top of our list, so we booked our wedding date based on DJ Haymakers' availability :)

Looking back on our wedding now, we know that we made the right choice. Our wedding was nothing less than amazing, and our guests are still raving about how great Jeff was. We would recommend Jeff to anyone that wants to have a blast at their own wedding.

Hi Jeff!!!

Well...Isadora and I just got back from Kelowna and we must say...wow...I'm not sure if you want to hear what we went through those 4 days but here it is (it gives you some perspective).
We arrived on Thursday to find out that one of my groomsman Andrew (the big black guy) had a mild heart attack
Did our rehearsal on Friday morning...found out that our rental place screwed us out of check in time 4pm instead of what was on our contract 3pm.
Fire was on Saturday...friends canceled from Vancouver...
Cousin's house went up in smoke from the fire...
Aunts that were with the cousin produced enough drama from this fire event to choke an elephant...
My mom's car broke down on the trip up to Kelowna...
My friend's car broke down in Kelowna...heading back this weekend to go get it..
That night after the reception...found out there was no water at the rental house...used pool water to flush.
Water came back in the morning only to lose it again Monday night.
Ran around all day Monday dealing with the city and waterworks...nice honeymoon eh?

...this is only a bit of it...

The long and short of it?

If it wasn't for YOU Jeff....the WHOLE weekend would have sucked badly. You took our minds off what was happening...took us away from the drama. We want to thank you for that.

All in all...YOU impressed sooo many people. As a result..you WILL be recommended for other gigs
as alot of people are asking who you are and asking for details of your services. Emily (maid of honour) has asked for your info...she is western Canada's music rep for Warner Music and has a friend that is London Drug's buyer...which is asking for you. This friend I guess lives in Peachland...I think....and will probably be asking for you. Is it ok if we forward your info?

As for the rest of the night...again...thank you Jeff. As an ex DJ...you have me beat hands down!

My wife and I just came back from our reception still pumped even days after. Jeff IS the DJ you want. Having worked in the DJ industry in Kelowna, I can honestly say that he is the best in the Okanagan. He will not disappoint.

Our wedding took place in the middle of the July 2009 Kelowna fires and we expected a somber reception. Jeff brought our spirits up and electrified the atmosphere with his games and personality.

Our guests and family arrived at the beginning of the night strangers and left at the end good friends with "high fives" and back slapping. From the very little information that the groom gave Jeff (sorry Jeff!) he made everyone come together. At the end of the night...comments like "it's over?" and "where did you find your DJ? He's incredible" were coming from all of our guests.

We highly recommend making Jeff your MC of the night. This may seem against tradition but you will not regret it as Jeff is professional, works well under pressure and makes the reception flow better than any MC I have ever seen.

The night was side splitting from entrance to last dance. There was not one moment that Jeff didn't have something "up his sleeve". From bride/groom kissing games to the infamous "Survivor" you WILL be rolling with laughter that your guests will remember forever.

For a night to remember....You MUST hire DJ HayMaker...

When we first met with Jeff, we discussed what our goals were for the wedding and what we wanted people to walk away saying, we wanted everyone to say that wedding was the most fun out of any other weddings we have been too. Throughout the whole planning process, Jeff was always so full of energy and you could tell that he really loved his job. We knew at that point that our wedding was going to be a hit!

We knew right away we made a great decision when we selected Haymaker. Jeff was fully involved and committed to our wedding reception right from the beginning. In the beginning, we were going to have a really good friend be our MC, but after meeting with DJ Haymaker for only half an hour we changed our mind because he had us smiling from ear to ear the whole time. Out of many questions that he asked us he asked us one main question, "What do you want your guests to say about your wedding when it is all said and done?" All we said was that we wanted it to be fun and that is exactly what it was, in fact it was ten times more fun and better than we imagined.

All our family and friends were coming up to us the whole night telling us that our DJ/Mc is absolutely hilarious and puts on a really amazing show. WOW...what a day! We want to send you the BIGGEST thank you!!! We'd worked along side you many a times and knew how much fun you could create so knew we had to have you DJ our wedding; but to be on the other side and have you run the party was amazing! From our first meeting with Jeff, we knew immediately that we wanted him to be our DJ for the wedding. He was very personable, easy to work with, and came to the table with great ideas and helped us with our vision from the very first meeting. He was excited to get involved with our planning and followed up with us throughout the process. He gave us lots of ideas and a great agenda based on how we wanted our day to go. We provided  him with all the things we wanted to happen that day and he was able to give us a very clear outlined schedule. It gave us piece of mind knowing that our day was so well organized. His templates to get to know us were great and they gave us guidance as to what we needed to get done.

But none of that compared to his follow through. The wedding day was fantastic. It was fun, funny, and all the while it retained its classy, traditional elements. From the actual wedding ceremony to the reception he made sure that things were moving along and that the energy level was always high. Even when we had problems at the reception he helped us find quick solutions and helped us make it so that everyone thought our dancers were suppose to perform outside all along.

Now that the wedding is over and we visit with friends and family who attended everyone says the same thing... "WOW, that was a great wedding", "Best wedding I have ever been to", "Definately the wedding to be measured against"  and the other common comment is "Was the DJ one of your close
friends it was like he knew you so well as well as everyone in the room!" Everyone also commented on how fun the games were and how he got everyone in the entire room involved.  His trunk of goodies provided entertainment for the games and throughout the entire night.

Its fantastic that we did not have to worry about anything and we really haven't even talked about the great job that he did with the music- the main reason we hired him!

We are so grateful that we had Jeff as a part of our wedding team and would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ who really has taken the job of being a DJ to the next level and wants their night to be a memorable one.

DJ Haymaker was a fantastic addition to our wedding day.  

He met with us on more than one occasion prior to our wedding and took a genuine interest in what we wanted for our wedding ceremony and reception.  He brought great enthusiasm and attention to detail to our day.  He knows people and knows how to work a crowd and make an event flow.  He had many suggestions for games to get people up and moving and while we were a bit hesitant at first we eventually decided that he knew more than we did about what works and what doesn't and that it was best to just let him do his thing.  We had no regrets.

DJ Haymaker played at our Wedding on June 20th, 2009 and he was amazing!

He kept our wedding guests entertained by keeping their energy up with all the wonderful games played. He knew how to handle the horrid tinkling of glasses in such a classy manner by making guests work for our kisses. Our Wedding was elegant and fun ... all the guests had a great time ... even family members who never dance at weddings, and we've been to many weddings, were up dancing and having a blast! By the end of the night we had so many guests thanking us for an amazing and fun experience.

You know it was a great party when guests who have kids fore warn you that they will be leaving early and then they are one of the last few sticking around. When I asked my friends why they stayed so long they said they were having too much fun to leave and the music was so awesome that they just had to stay and they were sad the night was over.

Jeff Hay is a classy guy, who is witty and sounds great behind a microphone. I am confident he can handle the most challenging of crowds, just as my family was. I can't say how thankful we are for his expertise and his ideas that we had not considered. Jeff does not disapoint ... the only disappointment would be if you couldn't book him for your special day...

I truly feel that having Jeff as our DJ was the best wedding decision we made. I was an out of town bride and completely lost as to where to start even planning my wedding. Jeff was a tremendous help he suggested venues, JP's and Rev's and caterers. It was all fabulous, I wouldn't have changed anything. Once I arrived in town I finally got to meet Jeff in person.  He took time to hear my wedding vision and used his experience to suggest things that I never would have thought of not just for the music but the timing and flow of the evening. We really went over almost all aspects of our special day and Jeff had so many ideas on how to make it even better than I could have imagined.
 
At our reception countless numbers of our guests came up to us and said it was most fun wedding they had ever attended. You should see my facebook home page!!! So many people couldn't believe how much fun they had!! The dance floor was packed all night, there were really no dull moments. I was also able to sit back and relax and not worry about a thing. Jeff was always on step ahead anticipating our needs and liaising with the caterer. I honestly can't say enough he was fantastic, definitely the DJ Supreme!

Erin and I just wanted to thank you again for the brilliant job you did at our wedding at Summerhill Winery last week. When we were planning our wedding we heard from several people that you were the best and now we know why. The reception was stellar, I can't tell you the number of times people have told us that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. All of the little "extras" you incorporated into the reception between the dinner and the dancing really got our guests ready to party! " Survivor" was so much fun, people were practically rolling on the floor laughing, and the music was great - the dance floor was packed from the first song to the last, and I've never seen that at a wedding before. 

We actually had a few or our guests that though you were a close friend of ours because you were so personal and knew us so well, and our reception matched our personalities perfectly.

Everyone says that our wedding was incredible. They said it was very fun. I know that a big part of this was because of our DJ.

Not only did he make our event a fun and exciting one he also helped us with some of our wedding planning. My husband and I were clueless on how to set up the hall for the best atmosphere so he helped us with that. He also helped us plan out what would happen and when. We met Jeff a couple of years ago when he was the dj at our friend's wedding in Kelowna. We only knew 3 people at the wedding including the bride and groom, but Jeff's fun games and outgoing personality helped to create instant connections with all of the wedding guests. Though I wasn't even engaged yet, my boyfriend, Mark, and I had been together for 7 years and we knew that a wedding was definitely in our future. I talked to Jeff that night, got his business card and asked him if he would still be a dj in about 2 years because I would love for him to be our dj once our wedding day finally came.

Eventually Mark and I did get engaged and when it came time to book the dj, we knew there was only one person that we wanted. We didn't even look for anyone else and I quickly found his business card that I had been holding onto. Though Jeff may be more expensive than some djs, he is definitely worth it! We knew that even if we had to cut corners on other wedding costs, the dj was the one person who would make or break the party. We were thrilled when Jeff was available and he was willing to come to Sicamous to be our mc and dj for our wedding on May 9, 2009. We had raved to all of our friends and family so much about Jeff and he did not diappoint.

Bringing together a room full of strangers, he was able to create an atomosphere of fun and excitement. Even some of the most reserved people came out of their shells, thanks to his numerous games and amazing hats. Where else would you see your husband's grandma wearing an 80s rockstar wig? The feedback that we have gotten from our wedding has been nothing but positive. Everyone says that they had such a fun night and that it was truly the best wedding that they have ever been to!!! Even when the power went out a few times in the good old Simamous Legion, the party continued thanks to Jeff! He was a tremendous dj and mc. Everyone thought that he was a friend of ours since he seemed to know us both so well. I believe that our wedding was definitely one that our guests will never forget and it is definitely a tough wedding to follow. Mark and I would definitely recommend Jeff to other couples who want their wedding to be memorable and who want their guests to have a great time. Jeff will help to make your wedding day the best day of your life, just like he did for us!!!

The night was a great success and we exceeded $ 50,000. Excellent!!

You were a huge hit and lots of people have been asking about you. You were so invested in the process and it showed. I really think that you made the night. From the music at the start of the evening to the auction, Survivor, dancing, reminders....You had the most important job and you were awesome.

Here is our little write up for your website, every word of it is true. :) That we know of, our guests have told dozens of people about you. We hope that they will keep you busy.

Thank you for playing such a tremendous part in our wedding celebration! From start to finish, you helped us feel at ease by taking care of all the little and large details and, most importantly, amplifying our excitement levels to unthinkable heights.

Amazingly, before the dancing had even begun, we had guests telling us it was the best wedding they’d ever been to! From that point on, it was the consensus of all our guests as the compliments carried forward on to the next day at the gift opening and still continue on today with comments like “Where’d you find that DJ? You were an absolute smash. We must have had 20 people, and that's only whom we've talked to, say if they get married, you are the one.

Bar none, the feed back is no one has ever been to a better wedding and it was because of you.

Some of the youngers were ready to leave by dinner, until you came alive,

You were organized from day one meeting you to staying and playing for the clean-up crew

which really impressed everyone.

My family is used to lots of fun like you so of course you were just the ticket. Jonathan's family is more conservative, and you really brought them out. No one will ever forget our wedding which is what we and you wanted. I do know of at least 8 who haven't been married will be calling you for their day.

Jeff was available to help throughout the whole wedding planning process, and he brought a lot of experience and enthusiasm to the table. He had many great ideas regarding the entertainment but also helped us visualize and plan other aspects of the wedding including scheduling, recepetion room set-up, and photo ideas; he was really interested in our entire wedding experience, not just the part that he was involved in. In fact, Jeff attended our church ceremony even though he wasn't providing the music for it. 
 
Jeff arrived several hours before the reception started to make sure that the microphones, lighting, and speakers were ready. He then worked seemlessly with our Master of Ceremonies to deliver a lively reception. Highlights included his "survivor game," which really brought the entire group together in competitive spirit, and our last dance archway exit from the building.  Jeff played music to suit the crowd and to get everyone dancing. He was also always open to song requests; a favorite from our wedding was the "Backstreet's Back" rendition lipsynced by the groom and groomsmen. Jeff actually delivered more that just the reception; he also kept the clean up crew entertained while the decorations were coming down.   
 
Jeff had assured us that he would provide our guests with the most fun wedding reception that they had ever been to, and he definately delivered. My cousin and her finance that had previously booked Jeff for their August 2009 wedding said that Jeff's performance at our wedding was the best audition that they could have witnessed. Several other relatives remarked that they were looking forward to this upcoming wedding so that they could wear Jeff's crazy hat collection again! Another friend asked if Jeff traveled or if he had any recommendations for DJs for her upcoming wedding in Vancouver. There is a reason Jeff is one of the most popular DJs in the Okanagan, and we would definatley recommend him.

Jeff Hay is so much more than a DJ; he is an entertainer, event planner and emcee as well. We would highly recommend him for any event.

In the months before our event, Jeff met with us and kept in regular touch via email. He was very responsive to any suggestions we made and was sensitive to the uniqueness of our family celebration (Bar Mitzvah).

During the event, Jeff did a great job filling gaps in the program with humour. He had all the audiovisual equipment we needed and knew how to arrange the physical space at the venue in a way that best suited the party.

Jeff is extremely skilled at getting all guests involved. We had guests ranging in age from 6 to 76 and they all raved about Jeff. He got everyone up dancing and there was music to suit everyone's tastes. He played all of the songs we requested.

Jeff planned games and activities for our group that were hilarious and zany. These games served as real icebreakers and the guests loved them. A number of guests said they had never had so much fun at an event.

Jeff turned our dinner/dance into a real party!

We wanted out wedding celebration to be something different - unique and super fun, and we are so happy Jeff was recommended to us. Part of what I think makes him such a great DJ is that he is there through the whole planning process - helping with ideas, getting to know us and our party style, and offering support. Even with our unique setup of having our party over two floors, Jeff didn't hesitate to take on the challenge, and it turned out even better than we imagined!

We've already had several people tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to - and these are people who've been to a lot of weddings! The games were the best part, it was so entertaining and fun. People who didn't even know each other were scrambling around trying to get all the items for Jeff's survivor game, and it was hilarious to watch. I would recommend Jeff to absolutely anyone, he really works hard to to whatever it takes to make your party a great success!

The experience with DJHaymaker has been nothing short of amazing, from the pre-wedding conversations over the phone to the day of. Our guests got the impression that you had known us for years. You were thoughtful and respectful in calling our parents and many guests by name. You made every attempt from the moment people walked in to make it a night people would not forget. We can say without doubt that your efforts were the cornerstone of what has been called "the best wedding ever". Thank you for indulging our strange requests and stranger family and friends. While you spent much of the night as the MC and host, it never seemed like you were trying to be the center of attention, but made every effort for Lavonne and I to feel like the day was about us, while involving out guests to create an experience that people are still talking about months later.

My only complaint is that several of our friends have said that they are concerned that this wedding has left some big shoes to fill.

Just wanted to let you know in writing how much we enjoyed our Jan 3, 2009 wedding at Summerhill. 

Every single person we spoke to after the wedding commented on what a fantastic DJ we had.  How you were so interactive, how they had never seen so many people on the dance floor for such a long time, and how much fun they had! 

Even though we may have been slightly skecptical, Survivor went over awesome and it really did bridge the gap between dinner and dancing and got people excited and moving again!  The party hats etc were also super awesome, and were a hit with all the guests! 

I also wanted to particularily thank you for all your help leading up to the wedding, your ideas, your help with the planning and your help with booking things like our Justice of the peace!  We honestly couldn't be happier with your service, and we will recommend you to anyone at anytime that needs a DJ!
